Hicks doesn't pull any punches in bringing justice to those responsible for their wrong doings. Too Connor and Abby certainly finds themselves entwined in a frenzy as the widow Hicks leaves them with is not who she is believed to be. This isn't your normal western folklore adventure, but you will find it difficult to put the book down, until the final paragraph has been read!
Definitely recommend this compassionately motivated story to everyone, but especially to all of you western lovers. I was unable to put the book aside until the final paragraph had been read! Of course I have found all of Mr. Hart's stories to be five stars worthy! Really! Give this compassionately motivated story a try, as I believe you will enjoy following Hick, and his crew to be very entertaining!!😃
Sadly, the editing has not been done properly as many Typo’s interfere with the flow, more so as the story progresses. Also, words left out in the haste of typing has one wondering where the editor is hiding.
Over all it is a great story, but I drop it to a four star for the editing.
The personalities of the main characters do not match with the first book. Nor do the circumstances match will with the incidents of the first book.
The editing is also not any better and may actually be worse.
I did not enjoy this second book in the series. I may try the 3rd to see if it is better and follows River Hick,
Abby & Connor Mack closer to the first book. Otherwise I will not be reading the rest of the series. There was promise for the characters in the first book of the series, we will have to see if that promise is fulfilled
