I really like the way author William H. Parker, M.D. mixes up each chapter with easy-to-understand explanations of women's health issues, first-person stories of female patients and the latest treatment options available. It was one of the most comprehensive discussions on whether or not a hysterectomy is needed I've come across.
My Gyn had recommended a hysterectomy due to abnormal bleeding and other issues I'd experienced during the past year. I was so impressed with the book, I made an appt with Dr. Parker for a second opinion. It was well worth it as he was every bit as informative as his book and allayed my concerns. He also told me at this time I do not need a hysterectomy. I followed up with my Gyn and she now agrees with Dr. Parker. Buy this book today and become empowered about your health!
