Our Razorsaw 7" Double Edge Ryoba Saw made by Gyokucho has a blade length of 7" and an overall length of 15". The cross cut side has 19tpi, and the rip side has 9 tpi. A unique feature of the Gyokucho Ryoba Saws is the handle which can be tilted in relation to the blade. This allows access into areas otherwise awkward or impossible to reach. Carpenters, restoration workers and boat builders will find this feature particularly useful. The teeth are impulse hardened for extended wear. The handles are wrapped with rattan for a secure grip. The various blades can be interchanged. This Gyokucho saw has been designed to easily fit into a tool box or work bag. Use #155638 for replacement blade.
From the Manufacturer
Perfect for cross cutting or ripping of smaller stock. Blade has 17 teeth per inch on the cross cutting side and 6 teeth per inch on the rip side. Overall length of about 18 inches with a fantastic, comfortable, contoured plastic grip. Small kerfs and accurate cuts will result from the quality, balance, and design of these saws.

With the following miter box I have no problem achieving very straight 45 degree cuts with this saw: FIT TOOLS Aluminum Mitre Box 2 inch x 3 inch with Fix Screw for Hand Saw
The dimensions of the product can be seen in the photos I uploaded.
*Fine finish after cutting
*Saw blade is a bit too flexible. If you get used to it this can become a minimal factor (-1/2 a star)
Remember this is a Japanese style saw. It cuts on the pull, not the push. If you want something more rigid there are similar Japanese saws with a reinforced back edge of the blade to prevent flex.
Overall: 4.5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 stars

I took a Fundamentals of Woodworking class and the instructor recommended these saws and we used them.
I love it because:
(1) Super light/small
(2) Makes nice thin and accurate cuts
(3) You can make both crosscuts and rip cuts
(4) It's inexpensive
Note that this saw cuts on the pull motion, rather than the push motion, unlike many Western saws.
I highly recommend it.
I didn't want to take out my mitre saw the other night due to the loud noise at 11pm so i decided to use this to make a few cross cuts on some 2x3's and it was much easier than i thought to cut a straight line. These teeth are so sharp it also didn't take very long to cut through the wood, maybe 20 seconds. This saw is very easy to control and not too heavy. The blade is removable so you can replace it if it ever dulls. From what I can tell this saw is made in Japan. I would like to have seen a more quality handle though. For the price this is a great saw.
