I purchased to create a wall hanging jewlery display, but the slots are too narrow to drill in order to screw a hook into (the hook would jut out the other side). As a second option, I did place it on a counter top to place jewlery in and it does look nice, but just wasn't what I thought I was buying.

I have purchased two of these. I make mini memory boxes out of them. I use the tray alone....I don't use a box to put them into, so the shelves are not quite a half inch deep. Yet, some little embellishments will fit on them. I have made one for myself and one for my step-granddaughter who has a family of her own. I use scraps of paper for the backgrounds, add tiny pictures, special embellishments, buttons, ribbons, etc in each opening. The largest opening is only 2 1/2" x 4".

The wood is flimsy and the depth too narrow to be of use. The price should be under $10 for this item.

There is no purpose for this item. It is too shallow to dispaly anything in it. Had to be returned.

Maybe I had the wrong idea, but this is tiny and the little shelves are not big enough to hold anything. This would be good if you wanted to glue fabric or paper in the boxes, but not to sit thimbles on.
