About H. Gorlitz Scott
H. Gorlitz Scott was born somewhere between orange groves and raised amongst the alligator people of America's most phallic of states - Australia Lite. There, she and her sentient hair have taken to drawing a land of make believe to live in so that she did not become one of the zombie hoard.
This hobby turned fully-professional after she and her husband spawned a swamp elf that constantly needs to be fed. In addition to publishing her own line of comics, Scott has provided illustrations for gaming companies such as Aldorlea Games, Rose Portal Games, and The Historical Game Company.
Not wanting to leave the make-believe adventures of her early life behind, she turned to writing them down; a process that was significantly faster, and more effective, than interpretive dance (which she is terrible at).
Scott continues to write, draw, and stare at spaceships from her home in Orlando, Florida to this day. "Hey, somebody has to live here."

Blog postTo catch up, Inktober is/was a internet challenge posed to have artists create/share an inked image on social media each day of October (however, there was a lot of drama regarding it this year). NaNoWriMo is an older challenge aimed at convincing writers to draft a 50,000-word novel in just the month of November (chosen […]

Blog postIf 2020 is the hardest year on record, then I suppose that June was the hardest month on top of that. We came into this month with the saying “black lives matter” being a thing of controversy instead of fact and it broke my heart. Then “trans lives matter” became a thing of controversy instead of fact and it broke my heart. Now it seems that “women’s lives matter” is becoming an unspoken thing of controversy instead of fact and it’s breaking my heart.

Blog postSomewhere around this time last year I was suffering from the worst case of analysis paralysis that I ever had. I had taken on a massive project for myself, on top of everything else that I’ve had going on work-wise, which was utterly buried by the massive workload I have from managing a family.
I collapsed under the stress.
It was terrifying. I was the only one at home, and I felt this horrible pressure in my chest that just… brought me down. I thought that maybe I was hav2 years ago Read more -
Blog postThe Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center is a fantastic resource that was donated to the Orlando Library System in 2012. It’s a media center amped up to the nth degree and allows the creative individuals in Orlando to have access to recording and films studios that they might not otherwise. They also offer simulator courses and a makers lab! The place is seriously amazing.
Thanks to friends on Facebook answering plea for such resources last year, I learned of this and brought2 years ago Read more -
Blog postOnce, in the middle of the night, when I couldn’t sleep and was watching over a sick infant, The travel channel was on TV. It was on a special about small towns and mentioned that Florida was full of them. It then suggested that a fun day trip would be to visit every town on FL-50, starting on the east coast to watch the sun rise and ending on the west coast to watch it set.
Years later, I pitched this idea to my friend Amy and we went for it the Saturday before Halloween (2018).

Immerse is a massive gathering of Central Florida artists in my home town of Orlando, Florida. Organized by the Creative City Project, it was something that I’ve wanted to visit for quite a while, but each year that they’ve had it until now I was out of state for one reason or another. This year all of my October happenings were local, so I was finally able to catch it! Yay!

Blog postFebruary’s Sivoa: Mourning story is below, but can also be found at https://dragonmun.com/february-elainia/
To put it simply, the Orianna spier was a natural formation that the sun’s worshipers built a city upon. It was a singular mountain in the middle of the desert that spiraled upward to a plateau that supported a massive temple dedicated to Sivoa’s largest sun.
The giant oligoclase orb that topped the temples primary pinnacle, was the first thing that3 years ago Read more -
Blog post“I am pregnant with your husband’s child.”
Chiarina had zoned out a little as the couple before her spoke, but the woman’s words crashed in on her like a wave. “Excuse me, what?”
The timid woman – no, she really was more of a girl – frowned and bit back words as the man that was with her elbowed her gently. “Show her the necklace.”
Following his advice, the girl fished a chain from her pocket and held it out. Chiarina, the Queen of Libris Del Sol, snatched it from her3 years ago Read more -
