Heather is freelance writer and novelist from the great white tundra of Upstate New York... although it hasn't been so white in the past few years. Born and raised on the SE Connecticut shore, she has lived in the Adirondack Park for almost 30 years. She feels right at home in both climes, and finds amazing inspiration in mountain, forest, or by the ocean.
Her writing focuses on things that go bump in the night -- preferably sexy, fanged ones. She has possessed an unhealthy obsession with vampires since she was 9 and she snuck the brand new INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE off the new release shelf and into the kid's section (it may also have made her a little twisted -- but how could she resist the shiny gold cover?). She has branched out from the undead in later years, and now also writes werewolves, dark elves, various kinds of magick wielders, and... whatever else catches her fancy at the time. Her genres include everything from Urban Fantasy to Paranormal Romance, Dark Erotica, and Horror. She enjoys writing and reading adult, steamy stories, so YA isn't really her thing.
Besides writing, Heather enjoys yoga, meditation, travel (especially by train!), being gently owned by two only slightly demanding cats, meeting new people, reading voraciously, and experimenting in the kitchen with vegetarian and international cuisine. She also confesses to being a pathological TV geek, especially for genre shows past and present. Don't ask her to list all of her favorites, because beyond Buffy, Angel, and Dr. Who, she would go on and on all day. This is supposed to be about books!
Please feel free to contact Heather -- she loves chatting with readers!
