This listing is for purchase of 1 replacement Nuvo H2O Home Cartridge
The NuvoH2O Home Softener System uses a revolutionary technology to lower the pH level of water based on the basic scientific process of chelation in which the mineral ions causing hard water, principally calcium and magnesium, are bound to the chelating agent in NuvoH2O's proprietary formulation, which keeps the minerals soluble and unable to cause hard water problems. The resulting water is soft and healthy for all of your household uses, including drinking, bathing, washing, and lawn and plant watering.
In addition to the NuvoH2O softener housing and its cartridge, your package also includes a manual, mounting back plate, mounting bracket, screws, and housing wrench.

Additional Important Considerations Not appropriate for homes with a private well Not recommended for closed loop re-circulation systems or wood fired boiler applications. Over tightening the fitting can, and will, cause the system to fail prematurely. In homes with copper piping, air in the line can cause oxidization of the piping. The NuvoH2O System works to remove the copper oxide, possibly resulting in blue tinged water for a short time. This is not cause for panic – The effect is harmless and will dissipate over time.

VERY VERY VERY disappointed! Do not waste your hard earned money on this system! I purchased this system about a year ago. It cost me almost $1400 at the time , with the cost of a licensed plumber for installation. It seemed to work great until summer hit this year. I live in AZ where it is hot, especially in the summer. Heck for 6 months out of the year it’s at or above 90 degrees... But long story short, the head on the system started to expand like a pop can ready to burst! As you can see on the picture where it started turning light blue/ white. I noticed a small leak, and unfortunately I couldn’t just turn the system to off or bypass. Because the head is still under water pressure. I contacted Nuvo H2O to see what they could do about warranties on it. I sent pictures, and they told me they wouldn’t warranty it do to the Heat. Which I thought was odd considering they don’t mention anything on the web site about hot climates... I was told I could purchase another head to solve my problem. Which I said no way! What to have this same problem in a couple months or next summer... Not happening! I asked why they don’t mention this on the website & if they had something in metal so this couldn’t happen again. The only thing they said was that they needed to update the website, and that there was nothing they could or would do. Besides try to take more of my money.... They said the system doesn’t work well in 90+ degrees and that this can happen, because it is plastic. So beware if you live in the country where it gets over 90 degrees!! Hope this helps people from wasting their money like I did...
I spoke with a salesperson at the company and they assured me it would work and that the cost would be minimal to have it installed (I was told approximately $100 to $150).
Everything sounded great, so I spent over a thousand dollars to buy the system and a couple of additional filters.
I received it and quickly found out that some of what I had been told was wrong. The actual cost to install the system was approximately $600. So, right there I was out significant money if it didn't work because I had to install it to try it. Wish they had not glossed over that fact. Keep that in mind when you think about their free return policy - it is not free at all and practically speaking, it would almost cost more to return it than to just keep it in place if it doesn't work. I spent approximately $1,000 in total to have my system installed and then uninstalled.
And, it doesn't work. I have hard water that leaves deposits on fixtures. When I don't have anything that I use to soften the water, the buildup is very easy to see. Every so often, I go through the hassle of clearing off the calcium/hard water deposit buildup. Big pain. Well, when I started using the NUVO system, I cleaned off the deposits on several fixtures and expected to never have to do that again. WRONG. The system does not work. The hard water buildup came back just like before. Same problem - not solved at all. I thought I might be wrong, so I cleaned the fixtures off again and put in another one of the $90 filters only to find out that for a second time, all of the buildup came back. And, I did it a third time with a third filter. I can clearly tell anyone interested in this that it does not eliminate hard water buildup.
The other problem - by the time you figure all of this out, you've already spent a lot of money to install the system, you're long past the 90-day period, and you don't really want to pay the money to have the system uninstalled. So, you are stuck having just wasted around $1,500 or so on something that simply does not work.
I called customer service recently and asked for a refund only to get two separate representatives that told me all of the reasons why I was an idiot and why they didn't want to allow me to refund the system. So be warned - once you are past the 90 days, they will not return the system. And, their customer service is horrible.
DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM. I wish someone had posted something like this that I had read before buying it - would have saved me a lot of time and money and hassle. If you really need to get rid of your hard water, then go with the tried and true salt-water systems that are cheap and at least in my experience, they work.
Hope this is helpful for potential purchasers of the system.
