Finally got my account working. Unfortunately, one very annoying thing about this service is that whenever I make a call, I hear H2O's advertisement before the call would ring through. When I find another prepaid plan, I will switch.
Update: 11:23am 12/3/2015:
Spoke with assistant supervisor and was told that Amazon sent me the wrong card therefore I didn't get my $10. Person said he would manually override. Still waiting. But for the record, this card was not ordered through a 3rd party on amazon; this card is through amazon itself. I don't know whose fault it is, but I've lost more than $10 worth of my personal time on this. It is one thing to have a technical error (if it's true), but it's another to have poor support. The reps attitude was negative and is in the tone that I'm wrong they are right without paying attention and thinking things through.
Amazon should stop selling this card all together due to the complete disregard from H2O's part. Their customer support sucks big time.
I bought this card through amazon and followed this instruction to activate my card but didn't get my $10.
When activating through H2O IVR number 1-800-643-4926, you must choose H2O Wireless Minute plan to receive the FREE $10 pay-as-you-go (minute) plan airtime; choosing any other plan will automatically forfeit your $10 credit. H2O Wireless ("H2O") service is for personal use in the U.S.
I called the above number and spoke with a customer agent to ask him questions regarding the plan and porting my number before I have him activate my card to the pay as you go minute plan. As of now, though my phone number is ported, but it has a balance of zero, and I'm missing my calls. I'm speaking with the second customer support to escalate the situation her supervisor.
I did call the above number, and I don't see why it would make a difference if I activated it via their voice robot or via an agent. Their stinking policy flatly doesn't make sense, and is contrary to Amazon's customer service and logistic support, therefore, I think Amazon should just stop helping a company that just sucks. I will update when I get this resolved. With something as simple as this, I see no reason why I have to escalate to their management. The representative clearly knows that this is the Amazon deal and terms. Totally inflexible. And there's no way I would port my number before having my questions answered. If you're looking for customer service, stay away from H2O.

I attempted to purchase one over the chat or phone and found that it would take many days to ship it to me. If I wanted to pay for expedited shipping I could get it before my Verizon Prepay expired. My alternative was to go to a local store and buy the card.
Understand this, all I needed from the card is a number that I find by scraping off the back of the card. Why couldn't I purchase a card over chat or over the phone and have that person get the number "off the back of the card" so I could start service on the spot? Nope, no can do.
So I hopped in the car and went to Office Depot which H2O told me carried their cards. The first person at OD denied having such cards, so did the second. But a third clerk said, "We have them, they are on the rack right behind you (us)".
But I wanted the $50 plan and they had only $30 cards that came with SIM cards but not a nano SIM like I needed.
So I moved on to Best Buy. They also had only $30 cards with the wrong SIMs.
So I moved on to Target. They had the $50 card and no SIM. I assumed I could use this SIM where as those cards that came with SIMs might require I use the (wrong size) SIM that came with them.
You have to understand, the clock was ticking on my Verizon plan. More glitches like this and I would have to renew Verizon for another month or I might loose my phone number or not have a phone.
I went home with my newly purchased card, called H2O, got someone I could actually understand, and spent about 30 minutes getting my new phone onto the H2O plan. It then took almost 24 hours for my Version phone to report "Emergency Only" and my new phone to stop reporting "Emergency Only" and report, "H2O".
Things should have been easier.
