The handheld is magic for cleaning my kitchen & bathrooms. I even cleaned my oven with it! So awesome!
There are only a couple of things to be aware of before buying:
1. You absolutely need to sweep or vacuum before mopping. The pads won't pick up crumbs, hair, etc at all. It's just a mop, after all.
2. The handheld can get a bit unwieldy at times, like in the bathroom when you're trying to clean the upper tiles around your tub/shower. There is an attachment so you can reach higher, but the handheld itself can be heavy when you're trying to lift it over your head.
Otherwise, I haven't had a problem.
Hint...sometimes, if I've had to go over an area several times and it's damp, I will turn on my kitchen ceiling fan on high to help dry as i have wood floors. I love how clean my floors look after steaming them. (The hand steamer I just seldom use, but it does sanitize my bathroom before company beautifully. I just have to use a cloth to wipe up the excess water.)
Oh, um... Don't use it on painted surfaces. Whoops! I do think it says that somewhere in a manual but I was binging. :))
I imagine you could the handheld for wrinkles on clothes you're NOT wearing. I'm going to use it on my grill come spring. Again, small tank but no big deal, really. Here's what I do: I keep a big glass measuring cup full of filtered water at the ready in my microwave. I heat it first (not to boil, just hot) and it cuts my wait time for the steamers down to seconds. There are probably a ton of uses I've yet to discover.
So, overall a good product, very good for people with pets, allergies or just an aversion to spending a ton on chemicals that are fairly useless anyway. Follow directions, use slow passes and there's nothing on your floor that will stand up to the steam.
