Please strictly follow the steps below
- Clamp one battery of the red cable to the positive "+" of the battery of the vehicle that lacks electricity, and clamp the other battery of the cable to the positive "+" of the battery of the powered vehicle.
- Connect a battery clip of the black cable to the negative "-" of the battery of the power supply vehicle.
- Clamp the other battery of the black cable to the ground part of the vehicle without electricity. The grounding piece is the iron piece of the engine block or other iron pieces that are firmly connected to the engine block, and should be as far away from the battery as possible, and it is not allowed to be directly connected to the negative electrode of the battery.
- Start the engine of the powered vehicle first, and then start the engine of the vehicle lacking electricity.
- Remove the starting cable in the reverse order of the above.

You get what you pay for - it’s fine but not . The jumper cables are decent, the shovel is tiny (see photo - size of a pint of milk), the catch on one side of the tool kit was broken off but it’s ok for an emergency tool kit. The bunch of safety pins and cotton swabs are really random but get the total count of pieces up I guess. The bag seems decent and can hold more so I’ll add some other pieces to it to improve the usefulness. Overall if you want higher quality, pay more! But this is fine for an emergency kit that you can add to.
