I ordered 3 rolls of ABS from Hatchbox (red, green and black) and have noticed the same traits with all three colors, leading me to believe I did not simply get a bad batch of a color, but ALL of the filaments sold are flawed. In printing, I maintain a heated enclosure at 50C with a heated bed at 100-110C. This setup works great for all my other ABS filaments, but this Hatchbox filament shows signs of poor layer adhesion, warping, and failed prints.
The first picture uploaded shows the poor quality of layer adhesion, causing me to stop the print before it was able to finish. The second image shows the Hatchbox filament in between an eSun part on the left, with an AmazonBasics on the right after acetone vapor smoothing for 1.5 hours. The quality of the two parts it drastically different. Layers are still visible in the Hatchbox filament (I have even extended the duration to 4 hours for the Hatchbox part and have not seen a success). The third and fourth image show the Hatchbox part on the left, with an AmazonBasics part on the right AFTER vapor smoothing for 1.5 hours.
After acetone vapor smoothing these parts, the surface did NOT melt, they did NOT get shiny, instead the parts became extremely soft and lost most of their mechanical strength and integrity. After applying pressure to a part, it permanently deflects and does not return to the original shape. Prior to acetone smoothing the part has double the mechanical strength, (THIS IS INVERSE OF HOW IT SHOULD BE). When other materials (PLA, TPU, PETG) when exposed to acetone vapors, the parts will disintegrate, not melt, which leads me to believe this is not ABS but instead some variation of a different plastic. I am extremely disappointed with this product and will never be purchasing Hatchbox filament again.
TLDR: Poor layer adhesion, loss of strength after acetone vapor smoothing (which does NOT smooth), high warping.

* Reliable dimensional accuracy
* Recommended print settings on the spool label (this is so important)
* Long shelf life
There isn't really anything magical about this filament - it is reliable which I think is more important. No more / less than expected amounts of warping for ABS, lower printing temp than usual with ABS, produces strong prints.
Remember that print settings vary between printers:
Print Temp: 210 Celsius
Build Plate Temp: 80 Celsius
Layer Height: 0.1mm - 0.2mm
Retraction: 1mm - 2mm
Outline Walls: 1 @ 100% infill, 2 @ 75% infill, no more than 3-4
Top/Bottom Walls: more than 0.5mm (probably around 0.8mm or more)
Print Speeds: I run at 3600/min or 60/sec just fine. Use 300/min (5/sec) for the first layer to improve plate adhesion.
Recommend a brim at 15+ walls at 2 layers (if available) to help warping
Recommend a heated / enclosed environment

As expected, I had to tweak my print settings to adjust to the change in filament, but after a few attempts I finally found success. Since then I've been able to print good quality items with this filament.
I snipped some bits off into a glass jar with acetone and sealed it, just to check for any additives. There are some, but not a great deal. It's quite a clean filament.
I think this is going to be the best value for money ABS filament available.
It bridges well and polishes really well with acetone. Ive had some fantastic prints with it so far, so Im very happy.

The problem with hatchbox and esun is that they are not pure, they have a partial "fill-material" to cheapen up costs i suppose.
With hatchbox this is worse then esun, because you see imperfections on your print with hatchbox while they are not there with esun and REAL filament. Also just like esun filament, hatchbox and esun filament does not 100% dissolve in Acetone. You will get weird drips of floating plastic in your acetone that you have to filter out to be able to make ABS juice etc out of it. However these imperfections will only be seen and noted if you have used other quality filaments and carefully inspect the printed result.
However hatchbox is cheaper then other filaments and whats why i buy hatchbox. I just wish they could make it more pure since i feel they might maybe shave of 1 euro per roll. Rather make it 1 euro more expensive and make it pure.
Mit der Orangen habe ich mir jetzt vorsichtshalber Ersatzteilen für mein Prusa I3 Mk2 gedruckt , Qualität ist super .
Das Filament haftet bei mir sehr gut an der PEI-Beschichtung des Betts , es war kein Kleber oder ABS-Juice notwending !
Gedruckt habe ich mit 230° Hot-End , 100° Bett mit bis zum 100mm/s ohne Probleme .
Danach zu Schwarz gewechselt , die Druckeigenschaften waren absolut gleich .
Würde mir dieses Filament auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen !
