I have only had this GPU for a few days, so cant talk about the long temr yet:

Pros:
Price, this one of the cheapest 7850s you can find (most are $260+)
Power efficient, very little idle power and 130W max TDP.
Over-sized cooler keep card cool, same cooler that keeps it's bigger brother 7870 cool.
Manufacturer is one of the biggest names in the industry
3 year full warranty (not partial warranty like MSI does)

Cons:
10inch card. The actual PCB is only 8 inches long, but since ASUS reuses the bigger cooler from the 7870, you end with an artificially long card. This also looks weird (cooler/shroud stick outside of the PCB).
Amazon pictures show the box for the "TOP" version of this card, but this just the regular version.
No display port-HDMI adapters included, so triple monitor setups will incur additional out of pocket costs.

If this card fits in your case, you don't mind the the whole "cooler is much longer the the card itself" look and dont need display port adapters, this is an excellent version of the 7850.

I bought this from Amazon... Prime, no shipping charges, 249.99... This is a very powerful video card. I can fly stutter free in MSFS X. This card overclocks like a champ. I have mine at a clock speed of 1175 Mhz... There are no over heating problems and everything runs smoothly, no blue screens. The temps are under 50 degrees C, and the fans are quiet.

Upgraded from a 5870 and WOW, what a difference. I had planned to get two and XFire them, but honestly, I have not found a single game yet that I have not been able to max. I bought about 50 games from the Steam Summer Sale including Tomb Raider, XCOM, Borderlands 2, Assassins Creed Series, all of the Bioshocks, etc... so far none of them are dropping below 60 FPS except for a brief time during heavy load on maxxed out settings. Even Skyrim on max with HD mods, i rarely drop below 47. I also have this paired with 16GB of G.Skill Memory Ripjaws and a AMD Quad 3.4GHZ.

PROS

- Price vs Performance is fantastic
- Cooler Works Great
- Overclocks easy and well (I took it up over 900/1600 with the free tools)
- Looks Awesome.

CONS

- The size of a Cadillac - make sure you have case space
- Adjusting fans above 50% and they get LOUD. I have a sound dampened case and even upping them to 57% while playing with the OC made them audible from the entrance to the room.
- This Card has not once made me dinner, after all I have done for it....

BOTTOM LINE

Great Card, Great Price, Will run anything out there right now so don't believe the hype of needing $500 cards, get what works and save that money for more games!!

All I can say is WOW! The 7850 series is just bad to the bone, all day - every day! =) I'm 100% happy with this Asus unit, and other than the crap drivers it ships with - the card is one of the best in my honest opinion.

This card plays BF3 on an i5 as smooth as glass. No studder, no jitter. I'm not sure how much difference there is with the 1GB vs 2GB model, but I went with the 2GB model.

Be warned, the fan assembly on this card is a bit longer than average. I've seen some complaints about it not fitting in some of the smaller cases, sometimes hitting drive bays or the processor fan assembly. Be sure that you have a little over 10.5 inches of length and a couple of inches in width on the side of the PCI slot. Also, it's a double din style plate so you must have a blank plate ABOVE the slot in which you are installing. Example:

____________| [Unused/Blank Cover] (Asus Card will block this area and vents through this slot)
____________| [PCI Express Slot 1] (Install the ASUS Vid card here)
____________| [Standard PCI Slot] (ASUS Card will slightly block this PCI slot too)
____________| [Standard PCI Slot]
____________| [Standard PCI Slot]

I was initially waiting for the MSI one to come in stock but got impatient and bought this one. Glad i did! Its a great card. The cooler on this card WORKS!!! Its super efficient. Card on full load doesn't even break 50c! And its quiet. Actually its the quietest card ive ever owned! And I upgrade every years model.- MSI 6950/Gigabyte 5870/Sapphire 4890/IceQ 3850. Also overclocks like a champ. Brought it up to 1ghz on STOCK voltage! Stable too. Mark3D 11 P6104. Heaven v3.0 got 1526. BF3 for hours and max temp @1ghz stock v1.138.= 63c! Thats a CHAMP card right there!!!! And all for $249!!!! NT & FS Thanks Amazon!!!! This is a worthy card! Only con would be if your space limited. Its a 10" card due to the cooler being 2" longer than the 8" PCB. But if you have a mid tower or bigger, then not a problem. GET IT!!!

This card performs quite well under almost every circumstance. My win 7 64bit machine loves it. The only problems were at installation. This card is freaking HUGE. I had to literally remove parts of the case to make this fit. But once it fit, this card worked perfectly. No need to even overclock it to play almost every game i have at the highest of the high settings. It started to run into fram rate issues when I set Skyrim's settings to the absolute most insane possible. 16x AA etc. Anyways, totally worth every penny since I am not a hard core gamer.
