Decent quality and usability for the money

The product is simple to use and seems sturdy enough for a responsible user. In some cases, having the keyboard has made it more cumbersome to use the tablet. If you're using the tablet for emailing or any kind of activity in which typing is important, it has made a positive difference. Any app that does not conform to a landscape orientation, however, makes the keyboard case more of a hindrance than a help. So while there are pros and cons to having the keyboard case, it really depends on what you will be doing with the tablet and how often you would really need a keyboard. From a quality perspective, the HDE Diamond Stitch Hard Leather Folio Case Cover with Keyboard is good for the money you spend on it. You could buy more expensive items, but in my opinion, the usability and quality of this product are well worth the price.

EDIT: The keyboard DOES draw power the entire time its plugged in, which significantly reduces battery life. I recommend unplugging the keyboard from the USB port when it is not in use.

Upon receiving it I could not get the keyboard to work with my son's tablet. One of my teenage boys wiggled the cord a little and got it to work so there was obviously some type of shirt in the cord. I requested a refund and went to pack it and keys fell off of the keyboard. Then the keyboard came detached away from the case where glue was clearly holding it together. I didn't bother sending it back at that point because I didn't want the hassle of arguing with the company so I just threw it in the trash.

For the price, it certainly does its job: it's a decent case for a tablet that has a built-in physical keyboard. The only thing that has given me any kind of trouble is the size of the thing, and that comes with the territory, really: the keyboard is so small, with just a few keys out of their usual desktop/laptop keyboard positions, that muscle memory is something you point-blank need to re-learn if you haven't worked with one of these before. The other thing worth mentioning is just as predictable: since this is a USB keyboard, you can't have your tablet charging while it's in use (unless someone's created a peripheral gizmo for that express purpose). So there's a limit to how long you can use this thing without giving your tablet a charge-up break, and of course, the keyboard is a bit of a drain on a tablet's battery life since it takes power via USB. That of course means you need to make sure your tablet has a "host" USB port rather than just a port that handles intake and nothing else.

I can confirm that this keyboard is compatible with a Kindle Fire 7" tablet (Amazon's $50-70 budget model), which is worth mentioning since some USB devices may not work with Fire OS.

We ordered 4 different cases to fit my grand daughters Fire 8 HD. The first case did not have a keyboard, and that is what she wanted, so we sent that one back. Two more, nope did not fit, though when you put Fire 8 HD in the search engine on Amazon those cases came up. They were way to big. So then I decided to approach this problem a different way. I measured the actual Fire HD and then put those measurements in, and there she is !!! It is the same measurements as the 7 inch cases! I crossed my fingers and ordered it. Her fire fits perfect. She has her favorite color in both the Fire HD and her case, plus the key board ! I now have a happy 14 year old grand daughter and in the process I even saved money as this case was cheaper then the other ones were !!! I am also pleased with how it is made. It is sturdy and will help protect in case it is dropped.I like that the case is actually a little bigger then the tablet as that offers even more protection. Great color selection . Great Value. I do feel it will survive the teenager !!! It arrived on time too and packaged nicely!

Bought it for HP Stream 7 tablet

I bought this for HP Stream 7 tablet, and it works well enough. It's not perfect for the tablet, but for the price, I am quite happy with it. The Stream 7 has the USB plug on the top and the power button on the right (if you hold it in portrait orientation with the Window button on the bottom), so the natural way (I think) to put the tablet in the case is with top power button on the top. Otherwise, the bottom brackets would get in the way of the power and volume buttons. That puts the USB port on the left side and connecting the keyboard's USB cable is a bit awkward (doable, but awkward). The top clamp is spring loaded to allow for various sizes, but if you are not at least a little careful, it can bend. I found my tablet is heavy enough that the it can slip out between the clamps if held vertically. The keys are small, but that is expected, and actually I got used to it quickly enough. The piece of faux leather at the interior hinge that's holding the USB cable loop has unfinished edges that make it look a bit cheap.Other than that, I think the exterior fabric looks better than the faux leather of the inside, but generally, everything looks fine. The kickstand only allows for one position, but that position works fine for me. The magnetic flap can sometime get in the way of the screen, but you just have to wedge the free end between itself and the cover and it stays in place. Overall, I need to figure a way to better secure the tablet in the case, but I am fairly happy with it.

I got this for my HP Stream 7 tablet.
For this, it works great.
Key travel is good, response is solid, and it hasn't missed or bounced any keys that /I/ didn't miss or bounce.
However, touch typists will find ANY keyboard this tiny to be a little on the awkward side. That said, it's still an improvement over most tablets' on screen keyboards, especially ones in this size class.
The case is aesthetically pleasant, and the adjustable clip holds almost any 7" and some 8" class tablets solidly.
The magnetic closure snaps up out of the way against the top adjustable clip when you're using your tablet.
