Usable HDD enclosure for data recovery

Yeah, it's a little flimsy, but it only costs 6 bucks with shipping! And it let me recover all of the data from my wife's laptop with the dead motherboard real simple and easy, and now she's treating me like a hero!
It was pretty easy to use. The instructions were in Chinglish, but it was enough. The enclosed screwdriver wasn't too useful, but again, this thing only costs 6 bucks! And it arrived in three days. Really a pretty good deal!

Gets the job done

The product quality is substandard. USB connector doesn't line up to allow inserting the connector; the IDE connector is very loose BUT with a little effort and a lot of attention not to break anything (it's so flimsy) it works.
I managed to connect the replaced IDE Dell laptop drive to the laptop and back up all files. If you're looking for a portable rugged external drive, get a Lacie (that's what I use to store data).

Seller delivered with prompt shipment and product worked right out of the box. No issues. For re-using your old laptop IDE drives, perfect. I wouldn't go traveling with it or use it as a truly mobile drive. You can't expect more for the price. But, for light file backup that you'll keep in storage, perfect. I purchased two, at that price, to keep another as a backup. Seller was also cool and included a discount card for future purchases.

very cheap bag and standard USB instead of mini or micro USB

OUTLOOK: OMG the bag is so low quality so it was better to sell this product without bag at all and make price 0.5 USD lower. I decided to recycle mine. The metallic part of the case is good looking but plastic has some issues. The top part is mounted with two extremely small screws but luckily you get also a screwdriver to mount it :)

INSIDE: you have to use some sponge or peace of paper to stick HDD inside the case, or it will hit border while you move it.

PROBLEM: The main problem is the connection port. It uses STANDARD USB (unfortunately I did not pay attention to the pictures), instead of mini or micro USB. Now I have to keep one more cable with me :( All devices which I have (table PCs, PSP, mobiles and etc) use mini or micro USB.

Not bad for the price I paid. I use this IDE HDD for monthly backups, so I think there will be no issues with case and it will do its job well.
