Top customer reviews
I plugged it in and my computer connected to my monitor perfectly and I was happy to have gotten a working product! Used it again later that day, but a couple days later, I hooked everything up without having changed anything from before and it no longer worked. Definitely returning it and I'm going to think twice about getting something with these sort of reviews in the future.
- Loose connection
- Broke after 2 uses
- Feels flimsy
The assembly housing on the VGA end of the connector literally came apart on the second day. There was no tugging, pulling or forcing involved; it simply came apart! There was hardly anything there to hold it in place. No traces of glue. No grooves to snap it back into place. Nothing. It was just sitting inside the cavity of the sleeve. Tried to put everything back inside and kept it there by tightening the screws on the monitor cable's end. Now the monitor was getting disconnected every few seconds. When I opened the connector again, I noticed one of wires had been disconnected due to very poor and minimal soldering. Now I have to do some soldering myself. Maybe I can get at least a week's worth of work out it. See photo.
I tried a different monitor and installed it on a different computer. Same problem, so via the process of elimination, this is the culprit.
I contacted the vendor about warranty status; they can't (or won't) provide me with manufacturer information and won't handle the warranty, if there is a warranty. I assumed a 1 year warranty, but can't find out what it is.
HDE is the vendor I bought it from.
