About the Author
Susan Crawford is a writer who lives in New York City with her husband and two sons. Out of her experiences “navigating the system” for both sons, she formed The Right to Read Project. With four out of ten children struggling with learning to read, this non-profit advocacy organization is dedicated to raising awareness of the magnitude of reading problems, and what can be done within families, and throughout the nation, to help children who struggle with learning to read. After several years of testifying publicly, writing articles and meeting with parents individually and in small groups, it became clear that parents needed more support in learning how to advocate for their own struggling readers. It is for that reason that Help! My Child Isn’t Reading Yet – What Should I Do? has been written. Proceeds of this book support the work of The Right to Read Project
