Eh, this knife comes factory sharpened and it's pretty sharp. But there are a few quirks about it that make me less than happy with it. Firstly, the spine was so sharp that it cut my finger when holding and using it. I usually grip my knives at where the spine meets the heel near the handle joiner. This one was so sharp on the spine that I couldn't feel it cutting me repeatedly. I had to grind it down to make it useable in a professional setting. Secondly, it's not balanced well; the blade is significantly lighter than the handle and gives it a slightly unwieldy feel. Thirdly, I've had to resharpen it often. It does not hold an edge at 20° for very long at 6000 grit and a strop. I am going to make this knife work for me, it's got decent bones. But for the price I would probably have gone a different brand.
