- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2016REVOLUTIONARY ROMANCE!
"Divine Romance & Perfect Partnership ~The Immortal Principles and Powers of Divine Love," the newest in Rev. Dr. Linda DeCoff's fabulous Global Divine Consciousness Series, proves once and for all Love is not an accident or a privilege, but the destiny of each and every one of us!
This book is a master work of wisdom and understanding. Dr. Linda has helped us immensely in clearing the way for a Perfect Partner . . . by internalizing Dr. Linda's ideas and approach, we can realize our dreams, not only in partnership, but all other areas of life: the perfect home, perfect job, perfect life's work.
The principles are simple, but the results are revolutionary!
We're motivated by Dr. Linda on our personal path of integrity and success ~ to change our lives in numerous ways. Reading her book fosters illumination; it's a blueprint and guide, with exercises, to assist you in reaching your Life's Goals. Love unconditionally and ultimately achieve all you hold in mind. This is the secret of the ages and is imparted with grace.
The author speaks sublime truth when she says the closer we get to ourselves, the closer we get to our true love. Let's empower ourselves, develop ourselves -- our true love exists now and is seeking to be realized as passionately as we are seeking~
And of course this realignment of our conscience takes place within, something that we have control over. IF we do the work and keep centered, Dr. Linda assures us that Principle will majestically bear fruit. It is the Law of the Universe.
This tract adds immeasurably to Dr. Linda's great body of work, and I highly recommend it to all.
It's a pathfinder to get where we're going, to have more of what we want. . . to transform the blahs into a luminous Reality!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2019Synopsis: The book was pretty much what I expected. I expected a tome that would be beyond a true beginner's grasp, but not an engineering treatment either. The author doesn't assume much of his charges here. I am not going to aver that this volume wouldn't befuddle someone new to the field, but it's as gentle with the reader as is possible given that you are following an engineer along as he designs a real-world speaker driver.
Junk:
The book is what is promised: a practical guide.
The choice of a subwoofer driver was a good one as issues like various bass enclosure alignments is given a nice going over. There is math, but it's math that any designer likely has good working knowledge of..it's essential.
I an am electrical engineer of too many years(my undergrad degree was gifted to me in 1983), so some of the math carries directly over from signal processing without derivation. The rest of the audio math I gathered prior to reading this in my "audio-aspirational extracurricular life." I am still not ready to design a loudspeaker driver, but if tasked with doing so, I feel like I am now further along the path. Is this an example of the Dunning-Kruger effect? I don't believe so. I have worked in both computation and semiconductor fields. I generally have a decent appreciation for what one needs to know in order to be successful at a task. The book has helped me realize where I need more training.
The last two sentences above are really where this volume has been helpful. In engineering most anything, there is a logic to the workflow. The task itself is best described by the solution of many discrete parts whilst being mindful of how these tasks will ultimately sum together to complete the larger task. For the non-engineer, internalizing this lesson is worth the cost of the volume. This part is like a cookbook, but the practices and principles have broader application. 'Loudspeaker Modelling and Design: A Practical Introduction' is just that. It also reads well.
It is difficult for me to characterize the book further other than stating it's both a fun read - if you're inclined toward such things - and it is logically assembled. I skipped around prior to sitting down(figuratively) and reading in the usual way. I did this as I wanted to determine if the book contained enough new information to me to be of value. The answer came slowly, but is a resounding "yes."
This may be the only time in my reading history where the pre-purchase blurb was precisely what was delivered. The publisher - or other copywriter - describes the content in unhurried, circumspect fashion. I will state again that there is math, but all of it is germane to the task. I think both engineer(as long as the reader isn't a speaker driver engineer) and curious other-than-engineer will get much from this book.
I already possessed a few of the pieces of software used by the author to model the subwoofer driver example contained in the book. Having or using the various softwares contained in the book are not necessary to get good data from it. I didn't open one program as I was reading. If I do try to design a driver in the next couple of years I will add to what I have and use the book as an assistant. Modeling software is quite powerful, but simply knowing how to do something is no substitute for knowing why. This book explains why.
One last but important thing: This was my first Kindle book purchase, and I read 'Loudspeaker Modelling and Design: A Practical Introduction' on three devices. The best experience was had on my 25" computer monitor. This is simply due to fact that the book contains lots of charts and graphs that do not accept scaling using the Android Kindle App. Other versions of Kindle may differ. In any event, a large screen will help.

Kindle CustomerReviewed in the United Kingdom on October 27, 20175.0 out of 5 stars Straightforward and works well.
I do not have a Kindle, and prefer pages to a screen. So, this is ideal for the occasional download which I need for whatever reason. Sometimes, economy - as with the download of a book I've not seen since childhood which cost £1 for kindle version, and over a hundred for the only bound copy that I could locate! It works on my desktop and also on a couple of laptops and is very straightforward - which from someone who is not attracted to Kindle - and my wife who positively hates the idea of them but is currently using it for a book otherwise not readable - has to be high enough praise.

Mr. Robert TessierReviewed in France on May 10, 20235.0 out of 5 stars Il a une capacité infinie

Peter B.Reviewed in Germany on July 29, 20205.0 out of 5 stars Endlich...
