Pour-over coffee, or hand-pour brewing, is a time-tested Japanese technique that’s practiced by coffee lovers worldwide. Its process of slowly pouring a thin steady stream of water over medium-ground coffee allows complete control over the quality and flavor of each brewed cup of coffee. Fino’s Pour-Over Coffee Maker is designed to help master this coveted technique. The high-heat borosilicate glass carafe resists shock and breakage and won’t absorb odors or transfer flavors between brews. Its bamboo handle offers a comfortable grip for pouring each delicious cup. The unique stainless steel coffee filter, with pierced exterior and fine mesh lining, infuses coffee’s natural oils into the brew and filters out more sediment than traditional reusable coffee filters. Water levels on the carafe ensure a precise measure. For best coffee brewing results, boil 6-ounces of water per serving. Place the filter into the Coffee Maker and measure in medium-grind coffee with the handy coffee scoop. Wet the grinds slightly with just-boiled water and let them sit for 15 to 30 seconds.     I purchased this carafe to replace another that broke after only 4 months after a little tap! So many carafes on the market are just too fragile judging from the reviews so I did my research before deciding on this one. The glass used appears to be commercial grade and I expect it to withstand a knock or two.

    The wooden handle is comfortable and the filter is well made with no open seams. This is suitable for coffee making for one or two people and the markings along with the special coffee scoop help you determine the right amount of water to use. The end result is a perfect cup of coffee.

    This carafe is overall a great product, well designed and made to last with a pleasing, contemporary look.
