I used the Uni-SW to mount a DirecTV HR-44 DVR (Genie Server) in my wiring closet, attaching the mount to a piece of 3/4" plywood with two #8 x 3/4" panhead sheet metal screws that I provided. The mount is a bit small for the physical dimensions of the DVR, but given the very light weight of the DirecTV box - less than 4 lbs. - the UNI-SW provides adequate support. The mount can be adjusted to clamp down on the DVR firmly enough to hold it without any concern of the box falling out of the mount due to casual contact or a minor earthquake.

The UNI-SW strikes me as a bit overpriced for what it is - I would feel it was a much better value at about $15 - $18. But I wasn't able to find an alternative product, and I estimated the time and materials to fabricate something myself wouldn't cost significantly less, so I purchased the Uni-SW and I don't regret it.Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2016

I have this peeve about televisions and the attachments like a cable box being too prominent on a shelf or piece of furniture in a small room or just that it feels like that’s the big thing that you see when you walk in the room. Partner was fine seeing the television and cable box and didn’t mind seeing the cords and the box like I do. We have gone round and round about the best way to “tuck the TV“ more out of sight and as a space saver in our small living room. I absolutely love this solution. We now have the cable box mounted flush on the wall and the rotating arm also purchased on Amazon allows the television to swing out to be viewed and then it moves back and the big ugly cable box and wires are all hidden. Now even he is a believer and definitely prefers having a much neater uncluttered appearance of the TV and cable box. Absolutely a five star purchase.

We recently bought a low profile Samsung TV and were peeved to discover a bulky box that powered it (Best Buy salesperson declined to mention the box when we told him were were wall mounting the tv and wanted one that could sit flush to the wall). Temporarily used command strips to hold the box to the wall until we found this! It was super easy to install, and didn’t interfere with the depth of the wall mount. I love that the dept is adjustable too. Made purchase and set up very easy. Can’t recommend this bracket enough if you’re looking to hide boxes and wires behind your tv!

We went all out and bought almost every piece HIDEit makes for our kids game room. We love these wall mounts. We found the small and large HIDEit general boxes are great for hiding surge protectors and other junction boxes. We made the mistake of ordering a Xbox ONE X & S HIDEit mount because I was not aware our kids Xbox ONE was neither, learn from our mistake, the bigger older Xbox ONES need the HIDEit larger mounts for larger items. The PlayStation 4 mount is amazing, and I recommend ordering the sets with the remote control holders. We would like to see more HIDEit products to mount other accessory items for our gaming room.
