Excellent video card, and apparently is a good brand HIS graphics, although not well known or at least no more than MSI or ASUS (in hwbot they are major sponsors along with Gigabyte). But I can say that the technical I can not complain about the quality of the brand. In performance test for even using the METRO 2033 in dx10 and teselating, do not lower the minimum fps of 15, and that it is a game heavy in 3dmark vantage gives his good fps in stock. finally a good card for which you want to play occasionally or enthusiast who does not want to spend $ 700 on a GTX590 or a HD6990, and have not for a 580 or 6970. There is also the possibility to mutate, the last RBE enables him directly, upon modification of our changes can be saved to the pc with GPUZ. HIS finally a good brand, the 6950 promises, and that the purchase will be happy with your purchase even without changing it (to the truth or have done, because the way it is going to play nice).

Dead after one year. Fail. Should have purchased a different card. Rig won't even boot now. MB light indicates VGA problem. Grrr

I had some issues with the newest Catalyst drivers when I first installed the video card on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. I think my problem was with the new CCC or Catalyst Control Center software so I deleted it and simply installed the driver by itself. The car runs quietly, and for $300 you won't find a better price/performace ratio.

This card does it's job and does it well. It is everything you would expect for the money you put out for it. One of the best features of it is the ease of flashing to a 6970. I did this with very little effert and knowledge. The card produces great graphics at max settings and preforms well for extended play times. All that said, you get what you pay for in this card!

If the product works fine then HIS is an okay manufacture. However, if anything ever goes wrong you have the absolute worst company to deal with. It takes them weeks to respond to details, and if they ever even address the issue you are lucky. So unless you like to gamble, stick with a better company who supports their products and doesn't outsource their support. The only phone number you can find to call them is in Hong Kong.

the install on this took a a little while ,cause even in my full tower this this was a tight fit. booted fine , but that is where everything went south , i downloaded the newest drivers from amd,big mistake it completely disabled the video card as soon as i got tho the welcome screen in windows , even when i removed the card and used a 9800gt to uninstall the drivers it would disable the card as soon as you reached the welcome screen .i ended having to re-install windows , i did that three times before i just gave up and used the drivers that were on the cd.fortunately the next months drivers work fine and the card rocks.there are a few games that have some small problems with the card when it comes to anti-ailiasing settings and some resolution settings but again that is software not hardware.this 6950 hd has run every game that i have thrown at it at the highest possible settings at 1080p without any lag , it is well worth the money, even with the fact that the accompanying software is wanting in some areas.also i have done the shader unlock which brings the total unified shader count from 1408 to 1536 , the unlock using the 6970 bios makes changes to the
voltages ,memory timings and the clock settings which can damage the card in the long run .the best bet is to do the shader unlock and over clock from there to your liking

This card is as powerful as the 5870, but during load it sounds like the 5870 did idle. It uses alot less power, and makes even lowfps(15-25) maxed settings at 5040x1050 feel amazingly nice.

The 6950 overclocks to full settings on CCC with no errors. To truly overclock it, you must unlock it with Wizard's 6950 mod. Found easily found with a google search. The 6950 with unlocked shaders is a stock 6970 and allows clocks to be pushed even further.

Oh, btw. This card is 11 inches long. It makes 5770s look like a cheap plastic toy car.

---edit: If you plan on unlocking this card, use Wizard's 6950 unlock Mod and not the 6970 bios flash. 6970 bios will cause it to run at unsafe temperatures.

---edit2: If you want the card to be quieter, Accelero XTreme makes a fan that will fit perfectly, however it extends the cards length to 12.5 inches. Worth the 30 bucks if you have it, and will lower temputures and noise significantly.
