Update: 9/19/13
Still using this card and it's still working great. I installed the 12.6 drivers from AMD/ATI with no problems at all and that really surprised me as I have had problems before with ATI drivers. Anyway, the only concern I have now is this card doesn't seem to support OpenGL above 3.1, it does support some 3.2 features but only a few. I didn't find this out till I ran into the new DOOM 3 BFG version. This game bails out trying to load and it seems to be a OpenGL problem. Anyway, I got around this by buying the old version which runs great on this old system with this card on it. Still a good buy even if a bit high!

System does not boot. Graphics card beeps continuously. Beep stops when card is removed. I contacted HIS before purchasing to find out if the card is compatible with my system, but I did not receive a reply.
* Intel 865G chipset
* Integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics 2
* 1.5 V and 0.8 V only AGP connector
* Single AGP port via the connector or integrated graphics
* AGP 3.0 including 1x/4x/8x AGP data transfers and 1x/4x/8x Fast Writes
Desktop Board D865GBF/D865GLC is only compatible with 0.8 V and 1.5 V AGP cards.
The AGP connector is keyed for 0.8 V and 1.5 V AGP cards only; the connector is not mechanically
compatible with legacy 3.3 V AGP cards. Do not attempt to install a legacy 3.3 V AGP card.
AGP is a high-performance interface for graphics-intensive applications, such as 3D graphics.
AGP is independent of the PCI bus and is intended for exclusive use with graphical display devices.
The AGP 3.0 connector supports 8x, 4x, and 1x AGP cards. Please advise. There is no indication that this message was submitted when I click submit so I am submitting it again.

Would it be possible that you can test the card in another system? This helps to isolate the problem quickly.

I went to a computer repair center and had them install the card for me. They were able to get the card operating. I am not sure were they got the catalyst and driver package from. He downloaded and installed Driver Packaging Version 8.73-100706m-102498E-ATI and Catalyst Version 10.7. Is this catalyst and driver ok? It is different than the drivers offered on my membership page on your website. The reason I am asking, all text displayed on the screen is blurry to include the desktop, MS Word, and the Internet. The graphics displays well but I have not realy had the chance to test it. Is there any adjustments I can make to make the text crisp and sharp? The problem exist at all screen resolutions.

There may be some compatibility problem between the graphic card and your motherboard since the card can boot well in another system. You may try to contact your motherboard manufacturer to see if the motherboard is compatible with 4670 and if there is any bios upgrade etc.

I already did this, I have the latest bios. Intel no longer gives technical support on this motherboard. I tried that too. Something I noticed since my last reply is, if I type a letter in a text box then move the text box up or down or side to side the blur in the text will change. Ex.; I typed the letter (a), in a text box and the top portion of the letter was blurred. I then moved the text box slightly higher and the bottom portion of the letter became blurred. When I move the text box to the right and the letter became clear and sharp. As I moved the text box accrossed my monitor screen the letter blurred or sharpened up randomly as I moved it. Do you think that this problem is a monitor fault, a graphics card fault, or some other fault? My screen is clean. What could cause text to display differently at different places on the screen? Thank you

I meant to let you know that my card has not been in another system. But I did hook it up to my HDTV and have the same problems. It narrows it down to the card or compatablity issues. What are my options now? Thank you

Does it mean that the card can boot now? You mention about the typing of text.
Randy Logsdon says:

yes, the card is in my computer. Installed by a professional. I hooked it up to my computer and to my HDTV separately. I see blurry text and graphics on both screens. My computer is usable, but I don't have sharp crisp graphics.

Are you using the HDMI output of the card? Could you see the blurr characters during the BIOS Boot Up Screen?
Randy Logsdon says:
2010-09-28 20:29
yes I am using the hdmi from the card and to the monitor. when I boot up the text is large, blurry, and has jagged edges. Thanks
