Placed order on 10/09/2013 (Wednesday) and received on Thursday. Wow, thank you Amazon for the lighting speed.
Installed Thursday afternoon on Dell Power Edge T100 II without any problems.
Note: The onboard video can not be disabled at all. Before installing the video card, the onboard video is showed with only one option, don't remember exactly, something like "Embedded video". It was gray out, it couldn't be changed. Also the "Orientation" option is missing if you try to change to the screen's Orientation.
Download the Matrox-G200e on-board video driver for Windows from here:
h_t_t_p_s://gr_oups.go_ogle.com/fo_rum/#!topic/microsoft.pu_blic.windowsxp.hardware/XR-7xOMHYbE
Remove all the underscore "_"
After installed drivers, the onboard video card has 2 options; standard (default) and Distributed. You can use either one.
After installed the HIS, you can do whatever you want; change orientation or hookup 2 monitors. The onboard video VGA can not be used anymore.

I have a Optiplex 9020 system that has 1 PCIe x16 and 1 PCIe x1 slot. Since it's impossible to find a half-height video card that has 2 dual-link DVI ports, this card was the only one that would actually fit and work in this system as a secondary video card. I needed this to support dual 2560x1440 monitors (Monoprice 27" IPS-ZERO-G) that ONLY support dual-link DVI. It's silent (no fan) and just works.
The only con is the price. You can get a budget x16 video card with DVI for about $30. I guess you're paying extra for the x1 slot?

HIS ATI Radeon HD5450 Silence 1 GB DDR3 VGA/ DVI/ DisplayPort Low Profile PCI-Express Video Card H545H1GD1
This HIS ATI Radeon HD5450 PCI-Express Video Card is by far the BEST and simplest solution for anyone who wants to go beyond a dual screen set up. Not only does the HD5450 come through, but it does it so well and effortlessly. Not to be used for PRO Broadcast Video, Graphics and Gaming but...........
These days, graphics monsters, web designers and power users want more than 2 monitors. It can get very cluttered visually. But the hardest aspect that one has to overcome is the graphics card to multiple monitor ratio. Many of the Graphics cards these days claim to do 3 and 4 monitor effortlessly. What they DON"T tell you is that you'll have to use the DISPLAY PORT output as the 3rd monitor option. Big problem. Why?
Simple. How many of you out there have a monitor with display port inputs? I do on my work station monitors at my office. We love eyefinity there. It works and works very well. My present workstation has 6 monitors and it makes web design, video editing and graphics much more efficient. It helps the workfow tremendously.
But I wanted a set up at home that could handle the majority of the chores of a triple monitor set up without all that eyefinity silliness and display port adaptor port madness. After a few (3 times) failed and returned orders for Display Port Male to Female active adaptors, I thought I try this out and thank goodness I did. Trust me, this one will work for you.
I was the guy who could get his Radeon 5770 to see 2 monitors but never 3. Even with the active display port adaptors, it would see 2 out of any 3 combinations that I tried but never EVER all 3.
So this is where the HIS ATI Radeon HD5450 PCI-Express Video Card comes in. $69.99 with free shipping. A DisplayPort Male to HDMI Female Active Adapter is already half of that and you only get 1 monitor from it if it ever works. With the HIS ATI Radeon HD5450 PCI-Express Video Card you can get 3 more monitors.
So I unwrap the HIS ATI Radeon HD5450 PCI-Express Video Card, plug it in (tiny 2 stub PCIe x1 express plugs, how awesome is that? Internal real estate is always a premium) connect my 3rd monitor to the DVI port. Turn computer on. Install drivers and BLAM!!!! All 3 monitors up, fully extended and PERFECT! (Just to check it out, I connected a 4th monitor to it, rebooted and it fired up the 4th one instantly). I knew this HIS ATI Radeon HD5450 PCI-Express Video Card was the real deal.
In case you were curious, my graphics card set up is the
1ct Radeon HD5770 driving 2ct (left and right) 27" Samsung Syncmaster LED T27B350 (1080p)
****The Radeon HD 5770 was the one that refused to give me the 3rd monitor setup even with multiple versions of the DisplayPort Male to HDMI, VGA, DVI Female Active Adapters****
1ct Radeon HD5450 driving 1ct (center) 27" Samsung Syncmaster LED T27B350 (1080p).
Suggestions: If you are a Hardcore gamer, this is not the card for you. It can't handle multi-output real time with the clarity and non residual redraws that you're looking for. But then again, trying to squeeze that out from a $69.99 dollar graphics card is insanity. Casual Gaming, yes, hardcore gaming not so much. But if you are a web designer, graphics artist, Office Power user and casual gamer and want it all done with an output of 1080P on all 3 and 4 monitors, this HIS ATI Radeon HD5450 PCI-Express Video Card is nothing less than perfection!
****Notes****
Finally make sure you have at least an i5@2300 and minimum of 8-16 gigs of ram. Multi-output monitors are cool, but you don't want blotchy fragmented pixels.
3 and 4 monitor set up with no hassles, Don't think about it! Get this card and say good riddance to the DisplayPort Male to HDMI Female Active Adapter Nightmare forever!

We typically use three monitors on the computers at work so we buy a lot of these cards. Most desktops come with support for two monitors. To add a third without replacing the existing video adapter, we drop in this card. It is plenty fast enough to support business applications. Quality is indistinguishable from higher-end cards. It doesn't require supplemental power - a problem with some of the heftier cards - and will fit in a PCI Express x1 which just about every computer has available. This isn't the card you'd buy if you're an ambitious gamer but, if you're even considering this card, you're not in that bucket anyway.

I kept on hearing mixed things about this card with regards to gaming. However, I must say that this card surpassed my expectations! I can play HiRez Studio's SMITE on it with no problems. Additionally, I've tried Starcraft II with it as well on low settings and the game doesn't freeze or glitch at all. I don't play games for the graphics, but rather for the content. Additionally, I have a 250w power supply and this card seems to run flawlessly even though the box said that at least 400w of power are required (I have a DELL Inspiron 530S).
When I first got this card, I saw that it didn't fit into my CPU since the bracket was HUGE, but then I saw the other two brackets. You have to remove the large bracket and stack the two brackets (VGA and DVI/display port brackets low profile brackets) on top of each other so that the VGA port is on the bottom and the DVI and display port are on top (sorry, I'm not a computer expert). In that way, the card will take up two bracket spots (if you use the VGA port) on your computer. I would definitely recommend this card to anyone who likes to game every now and then. Certainly if you want to play really high-end games on ultra graphics settings, then I'd recommend a more powerful card, but if you like to play on medium or low settings then this is the card for you. I've also heard some people can play games on this card on high settings, but I have yet to try that. Overall, this is a sweet card!
