Works well in a JC Higgins (High Standard) 9 shot .22 revolver. Its nice to have these on hand to avoid loading the cylinder one at a time.

While familiar with speed loaders for larger calibers, this one took a little time to adjust to. Unlike my other speed loaders, this one does not fully seat the rounds in the cylinder of my two year old Taurus 94. Using R******** 22 long rifle brass-plated hollow point rounds, the speed loader easily allowed the bullet to enter the cylinders but not the casing. The knurled aluminum knob is secured on the underside in such a way as to prevent the speed loader from sitting flush on the cylinder. I spoke with HKS about this and was assured that the one I was using was not an outlier.

Once that is recognized, you can adjust your technique. When used with the Speedbeez 4 banger 9 shot Speed Block (sold by Amazon), it makes reloading fast and reliable - no more dropped rounds.

There are other speed loaders available that may operate without this issue but they are far pricier and hopefully I can adapt to the restriction.

Cheap, simple, works. Bear in mind it's the first revolver speed loader I've ever used, but it's great. It does it's job, and vastly improves chambering one round at a time on my H&R 9-shot (break action type). Play around with it to get the feel, of course.

After breaking open my gun, I hold it by the top of the barrel with my fingers around the cylinder to keep it from rotating. After inserting the rounds as far as they'll go, roughly 1/3 the way in, I hold the sides of the speed loader to rotate the aluminum nob, then gently back it off the top of the shells so it doesn't pull any out. Most of the time I have to push some of the rounds completely in so they're seated all the way, but that's probably a bad cleaning issue on my part.

Like I said though, far faster and better than fiddling with one round at a time, and dealing with things like dropping them in the process.

I got these for my H&R 9 shot revolver. They arrived reasonably fast from the shipper. I tried one and it worked just fine with my model of revolver. I would recomend this product for anyone with a similar revolver. Its almost like having extra magazines for a revolver.

I should have gone with my own judgement. The cylinder release prevents the speedloader from smoothly and completely placing the rounds in the cylinder on my Taurus 94. Doubt that any speedloader will do a great job. The product itself seems well made.

Works great on Taurus 992. I only wish someone would make a speed loader for the Taurus for 22 Mag. The Taurus Tracker 992 has both 22lr and 22Mag cylinders.

Bought this for my Taurus 992. You can tell it is not meant for the gun but it works. Almost didn't think it was going to work. The shells barely lineup but if you just jiggle it then release they fall most of the way down in. Then tap them the rest of the way and you're good to go. Sure would be nice if it worked perfect but then I should have spent the extra money on the one for the gun. For the money I saved it is more than worth it. Beats hand loading the cylinder that's for sure!

I bought this for a Taurus 990 LR22 revolver. Technically it is not the right size but I read several people saying it works. It does indeed, and it is more compact and more affordable than the speedloaders made for the Taurus. All you have to do is give it a quick jiggle and all of the rounds settle right into the cylinder. Twist the top to release. Absolutely perfect.
