I told him that I would take them back if you do not wear them everyday which is why I bought them for him. He needed good shoes because he is on his feet all day every week.... hei is not only in love with these shoes but he wears them everyday!!! I know he feels like a "King." Thank you "Hola" and Amazon for your prompt delivery...size 14 XX was not easy to locate....John Cuddy
In my opinion based on the four pair of Hoka's that I have worn, this pair is average at best. Paying over $130 was a stretch, but over $180 now with tax? Uh, no. I'd rate this pair 6/10 at best for cushioning support comfort. 9/10 for looks.
The best pair of Hoka's that I have ever owned was their Conquest model. Extremely comfortable, but unfortunately no longer available. I not only ran in them for a couple of years, but then used them as a very comfortable walking shoe on a couple of vacations. 10/10 in every category. They are still very comfortable although they show signs of extreme wear over the years, so just relegated them to wearing while mowing the lawn.

They are fairly similar in terms of construction and feel, nice and lightweight and the additional cushioning that I have become a fan of.
My complaint is that the rubber lip where the sole attaches to the upper is smaller on the clifton 6 and sits in line with where the insole meets the upper. This has changed compared to the clifton 5 and this feature has caused particular rubbing on the arch of the foot and on longer runs starts to rub the small toes. I have tried a size larger and found this to be a similar problem. I believe this is a design issue as opposed to a sizing issue as I initially thought.
As such, cannot recommend the clifton 6. Will look at some of the other brands that seem to have jumped on the maximal cushioning band wagon...they may work for you, but for me, unfortunately, its a no.
