Style And Substance, Perfectly Meshed
A great chair doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg, it just has to properly support them. Introducing Lota, a mesh-backed chair with simplified comfort controls and all the features you’d expect from a quality office chair and a few you never expected. Lota’s unique threeway pivoting arm supports elbows and forearms in virtually any position, and the intuitive counterbalance supports your specific body type without making adjustments to any levers. Lota, the kind of comfort that makes it easy to sit for a long time, with the kind of control unexpected in a chair this reasonably priced.
3-Way Adjustable Arms
Lota mesh back task seating from HON has all the features expected from a quality office chair, and a few that are unexpected. Lota is equipped with an intuitive weight-activated tilt that uses body weight as the tension control. It eliminates the need for confusing chair adjustment such as levers or paddles. As you recline, your lower back support remains constant throughout the range of motion. Counterbalance tilt also makes Lota ideal for conference rooms where people of all shapes and sizes can easily get comfortable. In addition, Lota offers three-way pivoting arms that support your shoulders, elbows and forearms in virtually any position, and a cooling mesh back that looks contemporary and feels great. The matching side chair can be stacked up to four high, making it ideal for multi-purpose or training rooms. The visual design is remarkably upscale, and the price is surprisingly approachable.

Top customer reviews
My chair actually arrived with one of the height-adjustments for the arm being broken (presumably) in shipping, and not only did Amazon reimburse me a few bucks for the inconvenience, HON sent me a new arm VERY quickly, and were a pleasure to work with.
I would highly recommend this chair for anyone looking to upgrade from something cheaper. This is maybe the least money you could spend to get something with an all-metal construction, and quality (NON-PLEATHER) seat materials.
It is heavy, with solid construction. The seat is firm, but its still a cushion. It's just not a pillow. This isn't a sofa or a recliner. It is comfortable and working in it will be nice, but it's a chair for work, not for dozing off in.
I'm 6'2" and I find the back to be the perfect height. The feature where it provides resistance as you tilt is well done. You dont have to choose increments, or only sit up or lean back all the way. The resistance allows you to sit at any angle without it being so strong you're fighting it. That is, its comfortable at any angle.
The arms rests are very adjustable. Unlike some other reviewers, I tried the adjustment where they slide back and forth and did not get the impression they would be moving around accidentally.
Nothing seems like its going to quickly wear down or break. Which is why this chair what it costs, and other chairs which advertise similar features can be had for much less (or much more in the other direction of quality).
Especially when it comes to movable/adjustable parts, build quality is extremely important. Making a mechanism is the easy part. They could make it out of styrofoam if they wanted. But it wouldn't last.
In most cases, cheaper really means just that. Cheaper. It was built from cheap materials. As a result, everything from the cushion to the arm rests, to the height adjustment lever will fail or stop working the way it first did.
That's the difference. This chair will still perform all it's functions like new , while the cheap chair six months in all of a sudden has a worn out cushion, creaks all the time, the height adjutment sticks, but if tilt it all at just the right angle.....etc.
Point is. It's a well made chair. Every function it performs, it performs very well. It's comfortable without being too comfortable to work in.
Super easy to put together, didn't have to mount the base to the seat, came pre-mounted, super solid, heavy, love it. My 2 year old helped, no joke, it was that easy.
The back is nice, it isn't hard, it has some give, no issues
The seat cushion is firm but not hard, it doesn't hurt, I saw someone else say that, go ride a bike for a few hours and this chair will be your best friend.
Controls are good, people who complain about the arm rests being too lose or sliding around must not have received the same versions that I did. These arm rests are super solid, and actually a bit hard to adjust out and in. The up and down is tight, the side to side is tight, the front to back is tight. They don't lock except for up and down, but they are so tight that moving them around isn't going to happen on accident. To me, this is a non-issue.
(EDIT: They do slide forward and back rather easily and I have now found myself sliding them back when I stand up, I just put them all the way back and they are fine, I may put a small wedge into them to just keep them still)
The chair is tall, much taller than my old char, actually a bit too tall for my old desk, the arms still fit under but the seat height is high and I'm now looking down on my monitors, luckily I got a custom desk from Ikea today with adjustable height on it so again a non-issue for me but you may want to look out, if your monitors height adjust then it would be fine, but mine are big and do not, so I would have to put something under them which would be ugly.
All in all, great chair, it isn't an Aeron or a Teknion Contessa (my favorite and the chair I have at work), but it's way better than all the other "office" or "manager" chairs I have tried.
I gave it 5 stars because it's way better than a lot of junk out there with 4, but in the real world it's a 4 and all that other junk is a 2 or 3.
