Immense fun in a compact and convenient package! The HORI Fighting Stick Mini 4 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 features a full 8-button layout and a proper micro switch activated joystick yet is small enough to easily store and transport (product is approximately 8” x 6”). Despite its small size, the Fighting Stick Mini 4 is surprisingly comfortable with ample room to rest your wrists, and the rubberized feet grip firmly to smooth surfaces for stability. This wired controller features a long cable, Share button, and other convenient functions. Perfect for fighting games, arcade style games, and much more! Officially Licensed by SCEA.

And at the end of the day, I would say exactly that - I would recommend getting this as a bridge for purchasing a better quality (and more expensive, of course) stick down the road if you feel you want to get more out of the fighting game or arcade game experience. $40 is definitely one of the lowest prices I've ever seen for an arcade stick, let alone for a next generation console, so DO NOT expect all that much if you decide to buy this. Overall:
-Fairly lengthy wired USB cable
-Usable for PS4, PS3, and PC
-Easy to store
-Good for beginners
-Build quality is poor
-MINI in every sense of the word
-Lightweight, may be thrown around if you go too hard on the controls
-(personally) OPTIONS and SHARE buttons feel too close to each other, expect many accidental screenshots
Overall I would give it a 6/10, most of the points coming from the price. If you really want to jump into fighting games on the next generation consoles, start with this, but definitely, definitely, DEFINITELY do not expect a high quality stick.
Build quality overall is adequate. It's a little smaller than I thought, just a bit smaller than the NES Advantage controller. Buttons are a little mushy, but they don't stick. The stick is responsive, and has a satisfying click. It feels way lighter than what you would think, hopefully that doesn't mean it is flimsy though.
If you're looking for an arcade stick for emulation purposes, pick it up. Its a great deal.
Everything is else is solid, lovely square gate with responsive buttons in a good layout for my medium sized hands, the buttons at the top work but would've been better with a tactile button rather than rubber, though I understand why they didn't.
If HORI makes another mini model, they should make the buttons standard size and the ball for the arcade stick removable, but other than that I love it overall for games like Street Fighter IV, Skullgirls, MKX, and more.
