Please do not update camera via Web Server, un-stable network may make camera go to deep sleep, then you have to connect our tech support to get the update tool and firmware to wake it up. If you do have some problem and want to update, please contact us to get the firmware to update locally, that will be ok.

It was easily discovered by my Milestone server and ran great for a few days. That was until I tried updating the firmware. I updated the firmware using the built in update tools. Once the camera updated it was no longer worked with Milestone. I also own Blue Iris, so I tried to use it to connect to the camera to see where the issue was. Blue Iris no longer worked with it either. I could see video with a browser and the CMS 2.0 software but no other way.
This is where the review could have gone to 2 stars. BUT, I sent a message to the seller (Hosafe) and within minutes I got a response to my issue. It took many pleasant emails and Skype sessions to fix my camera, but they got it working again in under 24 hrs. Customer service was outstanding!!! I really mean it!
It''s a $40 camera with good image quality both day and night with customer support that beats big name companies. What else can I ask for.
The image was taken at sunset on an overcast day.
To access the camera directly, and change the camera's settings, Internet Explorer works the best, but you will need to enable ActiveX to work with unsigned ActiveX controls: Go to Settings: Security Tab: Custom Level: Download unsigned ActiveX controls, you can either select enable or prompt... I opted for prompt. Then you type in the IP of your camera on you network and away you go. (With DHCP enabled, you can find the IP of your camera on your router's active DHCP clients list)
To view the stream with a RTSP viewer: The format is: rtsp://x.x.x.x/live0.264 (where x.x.x.x is the IP address of your camera) for the main stream, and rtsp://x.x.x.x/live1.264 for the camera's back up stream. The default user is admin, with a blank password.
To use the camera on ISpy, Click Add, Select Onvif Camera, (The ONVIF specification defines a common protocol for the exchange of information between network video devices including automatic device discovery, video streaming and intelligence metadata.) type in your current user name and password, click Scan Network, select HD IPC (or whatever you have named the camera), select your preferred stream, click OK, select the ISpy settings you wish and then click Finish.
With motion eye for the raspberry pi you can easily take any snapshot you want; intervals, motion, constant. Same goes for video as well. Files can be saved locally on the pi, usb, or any network share. All this can be done WITH NO PLUGIN on any webbrowser. You can simply stream a live image or video on a webpage (internet or local network only) with no plugin or activeX plugin.
Simply put it, this camera is AMAZING for the price. The same company has higher resolution cameras of the same model but the price is much higher. I might try them later, but this one has a great price/features ratio

I did have an issue with two of them... and then were replaced by the manufacturer. Good service.
