Wrench-Off Oil Filters

K&N Premium Wrench-Off Oil Filters are specially designed for high durability and high flow rates in extreme conditions. Each oil filter comes with a hex nut welded to the top of the canister so it can be easily wrenched-off with a standard tool. An Anti-drain back valve (where applicable) keeps oil in the engine to help prevent dry starts and rolled threads help prevent stripping and give a smoother installation.


Sturdy 1-inch Welded Nut on Canister for Easy Removal Many oil filters are located in awkward locations. This nut allows easier removal with a 1-inch socket.	Heavy-Duty Construction Built with Strength and Safety in Mind. K&N oil filter walls are highly durable to lower the risk of debris or rocks damaging the housing. They are also designed to handle higher oil pressures without bursting. I've tried numerous oil filters over the years and K&N works for me in my truck. It says "Product of U.S.A" so I know it's not a 100% Made In The U.S.A product, but it's a start. I hope eventually it will be the 100% though (K&N if you're reading this) This filter is easy on and easy off. I had a oil filter (don't remember the brand) collapse on me before, restricting my oil flow and causing low pressure, I've never had that with this filter.

I would have rated it higher, but is see that of the three filters I bought, they were either made in Mexico or China rather that the US. I hate supporting China in any way and am currently trying to find a USA made oil filter for all my vehicles. I don't know if the inside has changed in any way, but the information on the canister is now on a peel and stick label instead of being printed on it. When I change it the next time, I will cut it open and see if I can see a difference in the internals from when I initially started using them.

I have used a couple and they seem very sturdy and well made.I have always used Fram rough duty but I was talked into this product I really have no way of knowing if it does everything they say it's supposed to do but I have to go on other peoples knowledge.UPDATE! Buy this allot better than anything out there. Oil looks better when changing.

Almost cost me an engine. Did an regular oil change like normal, drove 15+kms home and found that my truck was leaking oil, traced the leak to the k&n brand new oil filter. It was only hand tight as always. Was down 2 litres of oil at least because of this. Was able to make it back to work and put on a luberfiner oil filter which has never leaked on me and problem solved no more leak. Underside of my truck sure is lubricated now tho lol and got an engine flush at the same time!
