This is my first monitor and I really love it!! I switched from a 13" laptop that I basically used as a desktop to this beauty and wow I feel like I've been missing out. Going from 13" to 22" is really a huge difference. I was a little worried that it would be too big for my desk (I have a corner desk) but it fits perfectly. Nice and flat and I can squish my keyboard underneath it when I need more space. The resolution is really nice as well. There are 5 buttons underneath the bottom right corner of the monitor. The one on the very right turns the monitor on and off and the other 4 are used as menu options (brightness, contrast, color levels, etc.). My keyboard doesn't have a brightness shortcut so I have to do it manually if I want to change it, but I haven't found it to be an issue. I usually just leave it at the same brightness all the time. Overall, I really would recommend this monitor to anyone.

EDIT: Amazon sent me a replacement very quickly and I must say the monitor is great. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
The monitor screen arrived cracked in the corner. I'm not sure how this happened as the entire screen was packaged very well. I noticed the cracking right away upon opening the package but since it appeared to only be in the corner I turned the monitor on to see if the display would work regardless. It did not. The entire screen has a large crack in it and the display is fully broken.
I'm giving this 2 stars because this monitor looks great online: however I can't really see for myself (literally) the quality of the monitor as it's broken completely.
I'm going to contact Amazon and HP to get a replacement and depending on the outcome of that I should be able to write a more accurate review.

Replaced my wife's dual 17" monitors with the HP 27er. Really impressive! Espcially for the price point. So much easier to deal with than dual miniotrs. Great colors and resolution. Saved a lot of desk space too. We've only had it for a short time, so, I can't comment on its reliability. I have already recommended it to a couple of family members

I love this monitor! I wanted something that I could connect my MacBook to while writing papers and doing other work from home and this has worked perfectly. I am able to utilize the extra wide screen to have multiple windows opened and accessible at one time. The HD quality is great with a nice crisp picture.

Incredible external monitor with affordable price. I bought this monitor to work with my laptop. I have trouble viewing on my 13 inch laptop, and this 23 inch monitor helps tremendously. You can switch to stay on when you close the laptop's lid. You can also adjust resolutions from your laptop if you prefer more vista. No problem so far!

Got 2 of these monitors for work. On the hp website these were $179. These have fantastic picture and a great price! Had them shipped for next day and they were great!!! Highly recommend!

I got 2 of these screens to hook to my docking station for my Surface Pro. I love them. They are very light! I didn't realize how bad my old screens were until I got these. They are so clear and everything is very easy to read on them. I work with a lot of medical records, claims files and hand written notes. I can decipher things on this screens that others can't see clearly on theirs. These are wonderful, and I highly recommend them!

It would be good if the monitor worked all the time. It's supper iffy and pretty much all the time is says there's no connection when the hdmi cable is connected to my computer. Very frustrating as most of the time this monitor does not work and it does slow down my computer. Do not recommend.

Amazing. Also super light, so you can use a mountable control arm without worrying about maxing out the weight limit.
