Poor aftersale service, many keys don’t work, occasionally creen freezes screen flashing
Product quality is not reliable during the warranty period, and I didn’t receive a receipt for it. The most worst experience is with WhatsApp Australia, the aftersale staff didn’t fix your issue, refused to advise what steps to take to help you out, didn’t raise ticket for you to follow up, totally ignore your request to know where to find a service centre in Australia NSW. Hopeless aftersale service and no a proper phone number or email address for client to reach out for supports or complaint.

I researched chromebooks for months before making my purchase and am so glad I did. Others may have differing criteria and parameters than mine, but here's the breakdown of my research and why I chose this HP X360 12" model:
it was a 2-in-1 laptop/tablet with a chrome OS (I had no need for full functionality of laptops with Microsoft OS, so why pay more for it? Plus for me, chrome is much easier to use.)

It was small and lightweight, making it more manageable when in tablet mode.

The aspect ratio of 3:2 vs the more standard 16:9 is OUTSTANDING for my purposes, being web browsing, email, documents, etc. I rarely stream videos, which is the only drawback of the 3:2, since videos are in 16:9, but even when I do, I don't at all mind the upper and lower bordering. Plus the 3:2 allows for a larger screen in a smaller overall sized device, which to me is much more practical. DEFINITE a plus in my book!!

By process of elimination, I chose an HP product for the following reasons:
My research revealed a lot of disgruntled customers of Lenova products in regard to warranty issues and customer service.
The smaller model chromebooks, of which I was researching were not equipt with C-type USB ports in the Acer models and ONLY equipt with C-type USB ports with Asus models. I wanted at least one of each type, C and A.
And Dell had little to offer in the small chromebook market.
That left HP, of which my family has owned many different devices over the years and with which has had no issues, so I was happy to own another HP product.

In regard to performance, it was extremely easy to set up and get going. Chrome OS stepped me through all the settings, and personalization. It took no time at all. I've been using it daily for weeks, and have had no issues with speed or any other performance criteria.

Overall, I would say the main selling feature for me with this model, beyond being an HP, was the 3:2 aspect ratio. I LOVE it! I highly recommend this HP X360 12" chromebook!!

My daughter’s previous machine took a hard drop and wasn’t fixable. We literally wanted the same machine again because it’s perfect for a kid in school. Since it’s run using the Google cloud it doesn’t lag or need a ton of ram to be powerful. Perfectly integrates with Google classroom that my baby uses. Small enough for her to handle and has the touch screen feature making it versatile like a tablet if she doesn’t want to use the keyboard. I love this machine my kids!

I bought this for my 8yr old to do his class projects and so that he doesn't put his sticky food fingers all over my Laptop. He loves to show off this laptop to others as his "Mac". This laptop is simple to use - just switch on login your gmail id and your are good to go. The flip book option is the best when hes doing work that doesnt require typing but just touching and selecting. It has a webcam and a mic to speak to google. We do not use that. All work he does is always on google doc hence Microsoft office is not missed. This may probably last a couple of years until he goes to middle school. It is also very very light for a child to carry around. Only con is it is of no use if you dont have wifi. It works only on wifi and a gmail account.

As stated, my 17 year old daughter really likes it. They use the Chrome Book at her school although not a 12" screen model. However, there in lies the rub. We cannot find a screen protector for the 12" model. I also got her an active pen which she uses and likes. I have cautioned her to be careful with the pen so it doesn't scratch the screen.

It is relatively fast - works well on the internet so that's it.

I had to get a small laptop after it became obvious that excessive emailing to the same person on an iPad just doesn't cut it. The cool thing about the Chromebook is that all of your favorites in google automatically pop up, so you don't need to reinvent the wheel. I'm very happy with the Chromebook and I highly recommend it.

I have used this Chromebook for 2 months now and regret the purchase. Here are some pros v. cons. Note that some issues may be due to the OS vs hardware.

Pros: Size/weight; well-built, 2 in 1 is solid; camera takes great pics (when it works, see below); battery life is outstanding. Office 365 and Google drive integration are excellent.

    Cons:
    - Primary issue is that it died and would not power back on. I searched the internet and support materials with no luck. I called HP Support and they informed me of how to use a key combination to 'drain static electricity' which worked. Then later my camera died and would not work, which meant I could no longer use Jabber for conference calls. I found no solution on how to bring back the camera operation.
    - Then my machine died again. I tried the key combination to no avail, so called HP Support and will be shipping this unit back for service.

    Additional Cons:
    - So many apps do not run on this machine, even if they are available from Google Apps, including: Strave, Kinetic Fit, Yelp, Amazon Music (which is bizarre since Amazon sold me this Chromebook).
    - Some web sites do not work properly, such as Amazon Prime Music, which will only let me play my purchased music, nothing else.
    - The screen is sometimes wonky: you touch an app icon and it brings up a different window.
    - Multiple random crashes of apps
    - I use a Satechi hub for connecting devices. Everything works well on one of the USB-C ports, but plugged into the other port it randomly loses connections to mouse, keyboard, etc. Probably a bad port.

Anyhow I will see if HP can fix this thing, but in hindsight I wish I had purchased a new Windows laptop instead. I don't think Chromebook is ready for ->primetime.
