I bought this product from woot.com about 4 months ago or so. It came with Window 8, 8-core, AMD, 12 GB RAM, 16 GB SSD, 2 TB HDD. This machine is a slug with Windows 8. (IMHO). The machine is basically a small office/home office server, with the right software. I blew away Windows 8 and installed/loaded up ESXi 5.0 which is free. I now have a machine that is an ESXi server; which means, I have loaded up "virtually" several images: Window 7 Enterprise, Windows 8, and then a bunch of virtual software from my company. The ESXi server is interfaced via VSphere Client which has to run on a WIndows box, or a MAC machine, running VMWare Fusion to be able to run WIndows environment. Vsphere client is ridiculous. Meaning, it's awesome and amazing. It really tells you a lot of information. All in all, i recommend this machine, if you are going to get the most bang for your buck, i would do away with Windows 8, because it's just a glorified WIndows 7 with a weird front end that is a little clunky. Plus, Windows is a resource hog. It is not efficient like Linux or Unix or Linux Mint or Ubuntu or Red Hat. Just no comparison by far. Even Apple IOS blows it away. Windows is just clunky. Good hardware , and I only paid about $500 on woot versus the price here, but wanted to provide some feedback on this particular machine. Thanks.
