I once looked up Sony VAIO laptops about 10 years ago. That was when those laptops were going for $1200! By comparing this exact model with the 2012 model Sony VAIO, this one came awful close. Same base CPU speed range, same RAM size, and HDD, except this laptop has the new Solid State Drive. As far as I know, there are NO moving parts inside this slim laptop. I've never felt this case get even close to getting warm. Always stayed around room temp.
This might as well be my dream laptop! I'm on disability, with a pretty limited budget. I consider this a wonderful investment, perfect for my needs now, and with plenty of potential for hopefully the rest of this upcoming decade. I don't use internet on this laptop. I already have a 6 year old PC tower setup that is kind of similar speed as this tiny laptop. It works for me! I'm considered by Apple Computer company to be a super-user (their words). I have a BS degree in Computer Science. I once worked a month testing software at NVIDIA company in 1996. I know how to work with computer systems, set them up. I used to be a Quality Assurance tester.
Anyone who needs a slim light-weight, relatively cheap but powerfully fast laptop, look no further. You're looking at it. I haven't been able to find an app to use the touch screen, so I gave it a 4-star rating. I have had good luck with touch screens in the past, so I'm sure this one works fine. If I could have used it, I'd give it 5-stars. I just don't know offhand.
