I use this solely for fountain pens. It is fantastic for practicing your penmanship and great for letter writing. No bleed through and the inks show their shading, sheen, and full colors! The best part is the bang for buck - for 500 sheets - You'll be paying a lot more for high quality French or Japanese paper.

I have a discbound planner and wanted to create my own layouts. This paper is amazing. I print dot grids onto it using an inkjet printer and then write on it. Even using gel pens and markers there is no bleeding and barely any ghosting. The price on Amazon is less than half of what a local retailer was asking for it. It is still a bit pricy so I wouldn't use this as an "every day" paper, but if you are looking for a smooth heavy weight paper to use, this stuff is perfect!

Great for Making Homemade Notebooks

I bought this paper because I wanted a 32# paper for making homemade traveler's notebooks. I had no intention of printing on this paper, since it is for a laserjet printer and I have an inkjet printer. However, after reading other reviews of people using their inkjet printers with the laserjet paper I tried it, too. It printed but completely smudged- even days later it smudged when I touched it. Just a heads up. The paper is nice and thick and is beautiful in a blank notebook. It does not shadow through to the back side (I use Frixion erasable gel pens.) It is holding up beautifully in my little homemade notebooks. I'm even thinking of buying a laserjet printer because I'd love to be able to print on this paper. It's a great weight. My package came opened in the corner, with a chunk of paper exposed, so I'm docking a star. This seems to have happened to several other customers as well. All in all, a good heavy bright white paper at a good price. I think I'll order it again when I run out.

Excellent. Great color transfer from HP Color Laser Jet. I have been using this type of paper for years but always the lesser 28 lb. Not only is this a unbeatable price for the 32lb. the paper is significantly thicker and holds the color better than the 28lb. It is great for lamination as well. Overall, extremely pleased with the quality of this paper and weight. No issues using it in the standard paper tray with a HP Color Laser Jet. No jams, no misprints. Quality prints each time. I have already gone through a ream of this paper and have gotten great prints each time. Highly recommend this. Professional quality.

I set out on a mission to find the best premium laser paper for our new Xerox 550 multifunction device. It came with some nice Xerox premium paper which intrigued me as to what the state of the premium paper market was.

I'll be quick out the gate and tell you that this was the best paper I tried out of the three-- the other was Hammermill Ultra-Smooth 32 lb 8 1/2 x 11 Inch Laser Print Office Paper 500 Sheets (10464-6) and Xerox Premium Laser Copy Paper, 98 Brightness, 24 lb, 8-1/2 x 11, White, 500 Sheets per Ream (3R13038).

This paper was the brightest, whitest smoothest of all three. Printing a full sized full color photo led to a picture that looked smooth and without texture showing through from the paper. When printing a powerpoint I got the cleanest reproduction with the least bleed through on the other side.

The paper is thick though, and almost borders on presentation paper like HP Premium Presentation Paper. Even on the thick paper setting on the copier (the Xerox we have is new and fairly advanced) I still received the most misfeeds/jams with this paper. It's the best paper, but it comes at the price of more work to use it, at least for me. This is why I've rated it 4 stars instead of 5.

That being said, what you need in a premium paper may vary from person to person and project o project. If you weren't putting the three papers side by side, it wouldn't be so obvious that this HP paper is the brightest white. And sometimes you want a premium paper without feeling like a collection of card stock when you gather a few pages. In that case, the Hammermill Ultra-Smooth 32 lb 8 1/2 x 11 Inch Laser Print Office Paper 500 Sheets (10464-6) is my second choice.

If you prefer something a bit thinner, my second choice was the Hammermill Ultra-Smooth 32 lb 8 1/2 x 11 Inch Laser Print Office Paper 500 Sheets (10464-6). It's a bit less ultra super white, but has a very nice smooth feel and print quality, and doesn't let the second side bleed through as much as the Xerox paper.

If you are doing single sided prints, and want paper that feels more like regular paper, the Xerox is a totally fine option.

In conclusion-- the very best paper is this paper for premium all around Laser printing. It's thick. It's probably thicker than I'd use for every day use. It would be totally appropriate for an office where clients visit the office and leave with a print out, for internal office printing that gets filed permenantly or displayed and when you don't want to pay the premium for presentation paper.

I. Love. This. Paper! Sure, that sounds stupid, but for real, this paper is awesome. It’s exceptionally smooth and thick (not as thick as card stock but not as thin as regular printer paper). I’ve been learning and practicing calligraphy with a dip pen and this paper never gives me issues. Ink never bleeds through, my nibs never catch, and colors always come out looking beautifully pigmented.

It even prints well. My kids have printed out reports that looked amazing in quality. Teachers have even commented on how “professional” they looked and felt with the thicker paper.

I was worried to purchase at first after reading many reviews that mentioned poor packaging and damaged products. However, mine arrived timely and in perfect shape. This paper is WAY brighter and whiter than regular copy paper that you'd find around your home. I ordered it special to create long-lasting A5 inserts for my filofax and it looks wonderful. It's not as thick as card stock so you can easily turn pages, but it also doesn't bend and wrinkle as easily as other paper. Runs smoothly through a printer and absolutely no bleeding with any kind of pen I've used (even broad tipped Pilot G2). I love this paper so much that I hid it so my family doesn't waste it on printing just anything.

Works fabulously for calligraphy practice paper. I primarily use a dip pen, and this has been the first laser jet paper I’ve found that doesn’t bleed through or feather. It even worked well when using a water brush to blend markers.
