5 Star Computer From A 5 star Company

The moment I saw the specs of this computer, I knew that I wanted it. It met every spec I had for my latest computer acquisition: A decent processor, a minimum of a third generation chipset, at least 8 GB of dual channel memory, an SSD with a minimum capacity of 128 GB, a 1 yr warranty, and all for $250 or less.

I looked at several machines in my search, and all met some of my specs, but only this computer met every single spec that I wanted. During the past few days I have put this machine through several burn-in tests. These include temperature peaks, data flow rate, and internet connection and speed readings. Some of the results:

Maximum Temp Reading 73 degrees (C), which quickly dropped to its normal range of 45 - 53 degrees (C). As it sits on a passive cooling
pad, I've ordered a twin-fan active cooling pad to reduce the peak temps down about 20 degrees (C).
A throughput rating of 96/100.
A download speed of 120 Mbps with an Ethernet connection on a network rated at 100 Mbps!
A Windows Experience Index (WEI) rating of 6.4 out of a possible 7.9 (my network controlling desktop registers an WEI of 5.9).

Now to the company, KLAMP. Getting this computer proved to be a torturous journey, with one package being left outside and subsequently stolen, one of the wrong laptop model being sent, one DOA computer, one damaged by the shipping company, and finally, at last, the working laptop I now have. Throughout this process KLAMP never had me pay for returns, and kept my specs forefront despite the various snafus.

A lesser company would have put the responsibility onto me, which would have put this computer out of my reach financially. To their credit, this was never an issue, and they were at all times respectful and trusting. Their response to these problems leads me to give them a 5 star rating. As 'proof' that their treatment of me was 100% correct, I offer this: the next time I need a refurbished computer, KLAMP will be the first company I'll check.

This is a fast little laptop! It was more than I expected for the price. Runs perfectly. Looks brand new. So fast too. I love it! It can play a variety of games just fine like Second Life, etc. It's so quiet you can't hear it and keeps itself running cool too for such a fast processor. Only downside is the colors on the display are a little washed out, but I already knew that about these older hp's as they are business machines and it doesn't really bother me anyway, The service from the distributor is excellent! Being an older lady with bad eyesight, I had a few problems setting it up. Each time I wrote to these folks, they replied back within an hour, even at night, in a helpful and courteous manner. The packaging they shipped it in was first rate also with instructions included. Shipped it out quick too. Definitely a great laptop at this price point. Will buy from these folks again!
