Cells mounted on what looks like 1/8" thick plexiglass. Grommets seem to be strong. Some dimensions below that can be of assistance. I was making a shelf for storage in my RV storage area so thickness was important.
Panel itself is around 1/8" thick but the junction box where the cables attach makes the overall thickness on the end 3/4". In addition the connectors are around 3/4" thick. Panel width 21.25" . I have two panels facing each other with the foam in between for protection and the thickness is around 3/4" but with the offset due to the junction box, length grows to around 44", 46" if you keep the cable loops.
Update after use for a few weeks: 8/2/17. Made a free standing frame to hold these while camping (trailer in the shade, panels in the sun). The panels backing do warp in the heat after a day or two. If you make any kind of frame, I suggest a completely flat backing like 1/8" to 3/16" thick aluminum. Even raising an 1/8" over a nut and washer will cause a bit of warpage. I made a storage shelf to hold three of these panels but the panels may not fit if there is a lot of warpage. I got these panels because of the decreased amount of storage space needed since they are not permanently mounted. I hope they last as I read the warranty is only one year. I leave one panel connected all the time and I don't want it to self destruct after 13 months as these were expensive and quite a financial investment. Especially when the framed models have such a good track record for longevity. Time will tell. As far as performance, so far so good. Keep the thin foam packing that comes with the unit to separate panels when in storage and try to store the panels flat to prevent warpage.
