The Pros: It looks GOOD. Like real damn good. It gives your htc a really stylish look and a lot of my friends have complimented me on what a cool case I have. Also, while HTC itself does not manufacture it, it appears that they did design it in some way, as they have included all the necessary speaker and microphone holes. A big thing with HTC One cases is that most cover up the microphone on the back. This one doesnt, it has a little hole specifically for this. Finally, the actual flip case is convenient. Most phone cases that stand up on their own have a big clip in the back that makes the phone much thicker, but this case actually utilizes the cover and half of the back to create the stand. This means that it is less bulky. Also, the cover does not have a magnet, but after you use it a few days, it will always stick to the screen, so those who say that the cover does not stay on the screen probably have not used it long enough.
The Cons: It is not the greatest protector, but if you are a person who usually never drops their phone then you should be completely fine. Also, in order to create the stand, you must create a crease in the back in order to use the back to prop the phone against. This crease can look a bit weird, but so far, that is the only problem. Another con is that the side of the phone with the volume control is completely uncovered. Finally, the last concern is that the ends of the case are made of plastic in order to grip the phone. These ends can sometimes slip off if you fiddle with them, but they wont do it on their own.
In conclusion, if you are a careful person who takes care of their phone and rarely drops it, I would highly recommend it.
To any one looking for good fall protection: it may take a couple of 3 foot drops, but dont expect it to do miracles.
1) The back of the case is smooth leather when new. There is no scoring or crease. While this looks nice, it doesn't give the case a clean line to fold on. Over time the back of the case develops a somewhat straight crease from using the flip feature. This might not bother some, but was a bit off putting to me. I like things nice and neat.
2) Due to the flip feature, the phone does not sit in the case as securely as others. My wife has the Poetic Atmosphere and her phone is very securely seated in the case. I am somewhat concerned that if the phone was dropped that it might slip out of the case and get damaged.
The front flip panel is thin to begin with, I am not sure of how much protection a piece of cardboard wrapped in vinyl is supposed to supply, but what I do know is that cardboard sandwiched in vinyl doesn't stay that way long. Mines started to separate and you can see where it was glued together. Also the red looks good on the innards at first, but after some use it become this nasty brownish red because it picks up dirt. This case is very poorly executed, and sadly a waist of money!
I would expect a bit more refinement from an OEM, but it still does it's purpose well.

I got this assuming that whatever the other reviewers were saying this is a product from HTC and it should be good.
But unfortunately the quality of the case is pathetic.
The fitting luckily was snug but all the good things stop just there.
The only two stars I have given is because of the prompt delivery of the item.
High time HTC put some quality in to the cases which they give their brand name to.
To be honest, seller is not customer friendly and unable to define what he means excatly the word "Wear and Tear" and how it relates to my situation. I would say, in order to avoid me, he just took advantage of this famous clause of "Wear and Tear" exception in my case. Even I have sent the damaged case to him but it does not seem to have any impact on his approach.
Therefore, I don't recommend you to buy any products from this seller as he does not value your money. Also it triggers a question that, whether I got genuine HTC product or not.
Bottom line is that, HTC came up with excellent product with poor quality by attaching a premium price. If I would have bought the same product from any high street retailer, I might have had a chance to get a replacement though it is slightly higher price.
Unfortunately, for a company producing such high quality phones, HTC really should have done better with this product. It is appallingly made. The plastic broke within a week, and the cardboard is so flimsy it fell apart after less than a month of use. The ring on the back for the camera is also slightly too small, so can get in the way of the photo's.
I have gone back to using the HTC official leather pouch I had for the One X which, fortunately, fits the One M7. It is so well made the leather is still in perfect condition after 4 years of use - not sure where HTC went so wrong with the M7 case.
found it easy to place the phone in it. Since I have been using it the case has protected my phone well and
the angled mount allows me to enjoy the music that I play and to watch videos with ease. Great Item.
I've had this happen on other Samsung cases, so it's not unique.
Not the best build quality.
