4 stars, because the syntax of some examples is incorrect (HTML tags not started, etc). Instead, it should be that a child can type it in and see the working result right away..
Don't get me wrong, I knew that the book wouldn't truly teach my daughter to code, and I didn't expect 100% standards compliance. But some thread (a story? a few words from a nursery rhyme tagged on each page?) to draw me through the entire book with my daughter would have gone a long way toward me reading this book with her for fun.
As it stands now, this book has been sitting on the shelf since the day after she opened it.
Bought this product for my God-daughter for her birthday in Dec, I think she loved it, she's only two, but that's the great thing about this book it will last her years.
I can't wait to see where this book making extravaganza goes.
This is a well recommended product if you want to make sure your child/grandchild/godchild/etc develops into that little geek you really want them too be. ;-)
Congratz to its creators, and watch this space.
We commend the author for their idea, but there must be some way to fit valid code into the layout!

It is rather simple, and does not provide much info, there is however another book in the series which provides more in-depth details.
At the end it is OK to take funny pictures, but nothing more.
