Message to Wenceslao M who says he bought not one but two of these things from two different sellers and says that they both sucked. Dude I bought one Hubsan h109s High Edition w/ the H7000 transceiver rig over 6 months ago and have over 150hrs of flight time logged and I haven't had a single problem other than the one I stated earlier in my comment. I think that you may need a little more experience flying and a better understanding drones in general. You shouldn't blame the product for your failure bro. You crash one yeah I can get that and there could be a problem but you went back and bought another one and crashed it too??? See where I am going with this? You know full well that it wasnt the products fault or you wouldnt have bought a second one. haha
The H7000 android tablet TX is a beast of a controller. It took some tinkering to get figured out (first time using android tech) but once everything was going it was really incredible. I figured out that to get the songbird map working you first had to connect to any wifi connection, then you must also sign into your Google account (other accounts were listed but I don't remember which ones.) After you are connected and signed in you can go back to the songbird app and you will see the Google map overlay. I had to press pretty forcefully on the screen for my inputs to register and that may be due to the factory film I left on my screen. The map overlay is a really nice touch, you have custom mapping points that you create and there is a plethora of information regarding what your quad is doing on screen. Definitely high tech stuff so I suggest you tinker at your home with it first before you get out in the field trying to figure everything out.
Overall I am super impressed with this drone, it did everything I expected and asked of it. I did balance my props out of the box and that absolutely helps with video stabilization so I advise anyone else to do the same. The gimbal was incredible, I never expected it to work as well as it did and if you are into controllers with tons of features then this high edition is for you!
*What I liked*
*Long flight time of 20+ minutes
*Great range and video reception
*Controller is like a smart tablet with joysticks
*The 3-axis gimbal makes your footage buttery smooth
*It flew right out of the box, didn't update any firmware or anything on the controller
*What I didn't like*
*When you turn on the controller sometimes the android tablet comes on at the same time and sometimes it doesn't. Also I haven't figure out how to turn the controller and the tablet off at the same time, it seems like I have to power off the TX then manually turn off the tablet next.
*First time using 3-axis gimbal and I don't know how it is with other models but you have to yaw very carefully or else you will see your drone’s legs in the video. Just be mindful of slow yaws and it won't be an issue.
*Controller might be too advanced for some users just wanting to get in the air and record video but with Hubsan offering a low and middle edition they have all the bases covered for whatever suits your fancy.
I suggest anyone looking for info to join the RCgroup forum; they have a specific thread covering the 109s with lots of valuable input.
