For some reason this case is not available from UK vendors which is a shame as there is nothing I dislike about it.
I had reservations about ordering from abroad but it arrived in pristine condition, several days earlier than expected.
I was kept informed at every stage of the delivery and even got a text on the day giving me the hour in which it would arrive.
For a Ryzen build I needed an ATX case that would fit in my modified TV stand and accommodate a Noctua NH-D15 with 2 fans. This fits the bill perfectly. With plenty of clearance above the cooler.
The build quality is top notch and it looks fantastic IMO
Because this case is also a test bench, installation is a breeze. The top, sides and front panels can be removed in seconds, giving you easy access to your motherboard from every angle. No more trying to fit your hand and a connector into a tiny space. The MB tray can also be removed for easier installation. Swapping fans or installing a radiator is simple.
Because all six sides of this case are ventilated, cooling is also a breeze ( literally ). All the messy stuff like the PSU , HDDs and cables are in the basement so good air flow is assured.
You could fit 2 reasonably sized GPU's in it and because the MB lies flat there's less worry about GPU sag.
In summary a brilliant case/test bench. And if you like to bling up your builds with RGB, check out the case modification videos on the Net
Beginning to regret buying this case now. Cooler Master were you on drugs when designing it?
Try finding a 200mm fan that will fit this thing becasue of the lids fixing dimensions is almost impossible unless you are willing to spend some serious cash. I don't think I will be purchasing anything Cooler Master again.
Very disappointing. I should have stuck with Corsair. I have also knocked a star off, so now down to 2
After reading all the reviews I thought I was on a winner especially for the price I got it for
I actually found this case from a building point of view very awkward and frustrating.
Included in the pic that I took is where the socket is supposed to be and the wires going up to the power plug supply. I even had to remove the PCIE cables in fear as to not snap these from their soldered points.
I struggled and struggled trying not to damage the cables at the rear of the circuit backplane used for connection of the hotbay caddies. Every other review I have seen of this case have had a simple componant installed to prevent damage and possible electrical shorts apart from mine. A socket installed at the rear for a connection of molex to power the hotswap drives. NOT MINE. Mine just has wires soldered into place instead with a SATA connector at the end of that. Now try installing modular cables whilst trying to prevent snapping those said wires and causing irrepairable damage to possibly your case and power supply and/or other componants in your case after being switching on because some lazy toerag does not do thier job properly and fullfill the specs of this lovely case.
Now maybe It was just me? Has anyone else gotten a case like this?
That said everything is in. But I really don't want to be messing about within in case those wires snap and short on the chassis. I am concerned CoolerMaster very concerned. Why was this not picked up before packaging?
Only down side would be if you don’t have the space for a 45cm cube... although it is a little shorter than that, but you need the clearance at the top if you have a ‘big’ case fan in the lid ;-)
As mentioned at the beginning, this finishes off a self build machine perfectly.
Oh! And it is a very well made a robust machine, worth the money! But there is no Perspex panel, if you’re someone who likes to see all the pretty lights flashing... So (yes) thumbs-up! Perfect!
highly recommend this case to anyone the needs air flow for their rig,as there is loads of space above board and plenty of ventilation, they also look good with led fans in.
