I really appreciated this story, as it's rare for me to come across books focusing on characters of this age range and life experience. I found the exploration of this relationship refreshing and realistic, and would have given the book five stars if it we just a bit longer, as I wanted to spend more time with Peter and Evan. But, still, so worth reading. Thumbs up!
There were a couple moments where I did a double take, such as when Peter decides it's okay for Evan to kiss him goodnight, when he goes home from their nightly get-togethers. He seemed to accept this rather quickly, only getting upset the night his children were present. On the other hand, sometimes people do adapt odd behaviors when they don't think anyone else is looking.
The story wasn't terribly high in conflict. Most of that centered around Peter's reluctance to admit that his sexuality was more fluid than he'd previously realized, and Evan occasionally being a bit less understanding than he might have been. But I was completely caught up in it and really enjoyed the book.

It was cute, but mostly very surfaced and seemed a tad far fetched to me.
I'm a romantic, and a realist I can only hope. A good, should- read book. A story of comradery, companionship, romance, love, and humor, and entirely to short
