My wife loves ramen noodle, so I have been buying different kinds of dry noodles. She never liked any of them.

Finally, we found this one. It still doesn't cook restaurant level ramen, but it's much closer than anything else. It cooks really fast, and it has a very nice texture. Also, it doesn't contain tons of salt, so it won't ruin your dish at the end. Probably the best ramen noodle you can get at this price. I will be a regular buyer of this product.

These ramen noodles are great! I was looking to replicate Hawaiian Saimin, and have been on a noodle chase for years; these are damn close to what I used to eat in HI. I sure hope Amazon and Hakubaku keep selling them, can’t get any better living in a rural area with a small Asian population & groceries.

I have tried the HIME ramen noodles since I posted this review. And I enjoyed the HIME more. Tasted more like Sun Noodle (the brand most of HI uses for their saimin) than Hakubaku does, at least to me. YMMV

I bought the Hakubaku Restaurant Style Fresh Noodle, Ramen Yakisoba Stir Fry, KAEDAMA ,8 pack x 3.5 oz.

I am super happy with the noodles I received. There 8 single noodle packet/servings inside the larger silver bag. Packaging was very good for keeping noodles fresher.

I boiled my noodles for about 2minutes and 10 seconds. I drain and then transfer them to a hot bowl of soup. I use different soups, depending on my mood. Beef broth, Chicken broth, Dashi, Soy and Beef, etc... Just make up something you like. Or, go traditional with a good Japanese Soup Recipe.

These noodles are so much better than the instant ones like Top Ramen. They smell good and taste even better!
I am so addicted to these now, I just do not want to go back to eating the instant Top ramen if I don't have to.

Where I live, there are no Asian stores, or even any decent restaurants for 100 miles! If I want a good bowl of Ramen, then I have to learn how to make it myself. These noodles solve my Ramen cravings. Oh so good! I am totally happy with these and I am now getting 2 of these 8 packs through Amazon Sub and Save each month! YUM!

Important UPDATE 03/10/2021:
I had to drop these noodles down to just 1 star! I am so sorry to do this!
If you have any sort of health issues, or care about your health, then beware of these noodles! These are EXTREMELY HIGH in sodium!!!
The Sodium level is1450mg which is 63% of the daily value!

I kept getting swollen ankles after each time I ate these noodles. I followed directions and boiled them for 2 to 2:30 minutes. for the 1st few times I used these for ramen soup so I transferred the hot noodles into a bowl and then poured a soup or a sauce over them.

Within a few hours of eating them my ankles started to swell!
I've never had a problem with swollen ankles before and I did not think it was because of these noodles.
Then I looked at the sodium amount which is listed on the big silver bag that the smaller noodle bags come in.
GOOD GRIEF! 1450mg SODIUM in these Noodles!

Now because I did like the noodles very much, I tried to leach out most of the salt in the noodles by this following procedure:
I boiled them for 2 minutes.
I then poured them into a small steel colander and drained off that noodle cooking water.
Then I rinsed them really well under tap water.
Then put them back in the pot and poured new, fresh. boiling water from my tea kettle over them.
Then I brought them to a boil again for another minute.
Then I drained, and rinsed them again really well.
Then I added them to whatever I was going to make with them. A soup, a sauce, whatever.

I do think this double boil and rinse method does help to leach out some of the sodium, but I still think too much sodium is still left in the noodles for me to continue to eat them.

I had bought 2 packages of these, and I hate to waste the rest of them, but I realize that, at least for me, these are super bad for my health! No one should consume over half their daily dose of salt in just 1 bowl of plain noodles! Who knows how much sodium your meal really is with these noodles if you are adding them to a soup or sauce!

Closest instant noodle to making them from scratch or buying frozen fresh noodles from japanese stores. Paired these with my own broth and they were excellent. Will buy again and keep these on hand for when I cant have fresh noodles. Tried them with soyu, tonkatsu, miso, and tantan (spicy sesame) broths and paired decently with all of them. Highly recommend

I'd never had ramen noodles other than the dry packages with the flavor pack. These are MUCH better. I've started making simple broth with miso and am discovering a whole new culinary world of things you can add to them. They are salty so I suggest you cook them separately and add them drained to the broth. Their texture and taste are wonderful.

Oh. My. God. These are ah-mazingly yummy, so much so that I think my local ramen spot has lost a customer. I can now make restaurant quality ramen at home thanks to these delicious noodles. Made them for dinner last night and everyone agreed they were great! Nice and springy with a good bite to it. Texture and flavor were so good. Boil 2 minutes for firm noodles and 2.5 for softer texture. Yummy yummy in my tummy!! Will be ordering again for sure!! Love that they come in individual sized portions too. One package is perfect for one adult or two kids. Buy these!! You will not regret it.
