These stories are derived from the website that has sparked a flash fiction craze, and if you've not tried writing a story in six sentences, beware, it's addictive. Like Scrabble for letters and a haiku for syllables, six sentences is a puzzle, trying to twist a full tale out of six lines of text; just six final punctuations (i.e. periods, exclamations points or question marks). To read one is to love one, and this book is like a bag of candy--you eat one, savor it, and then pick another. Trying to gain a full appreciation for the texture and meaning of each story is a fun shared activity--one can read a story in about 1-2 minutes, then pass the book and share it with others in the same room. Compare notes and see if you all interpreted the story similarly. A critique session sure to bring debate and laughter.
