It's a great game as far as presentation and the premise is simple enough. You match like colored "power cores" in order to build stronger cores and create a more powerful colossatron. You can even combine colors to make new cores and build those up. The only complaints I have is that it cost gems to upgrade your cores or even choose what function the core performs. Each core has one of three modes that randomly switches every 24 hrs unless you spend gems to unlock the specific function you want. While you can come across gems in game, the cost of these unlocks is high enough that you won't be able to pick a specific load out until you've either coughed up some dough or finished the game. It's also a bit annoying that you can't control your colossatron directly. It moves on its own and your only interaction is to add floating cores to it. You eventually get "gadgets" that let you do things like target specific enemies or areas but the game doesn't explain how to actually use all of these gadgets. All in all it's a good time killer as long as you're prepared to repeat a few levels a half dozen times.
Colossatron is an interesting take on the match three puzzle type game. You are the monster and it's your duty to do as much damage and rack up the highest score you possibly can before you are ultimately destroyed. You have no direct control over the monster but you can control how it evolves. As the game progresses there will be different colored orbs (weapons) that float around. You touch and drag them to your monster to add it, much like a link in a chain. Match three consecutive colors and they'll merge into a more powerful version of that colored orb. You can also mix two different orb colors to have them merge into a different colored orb with it's own weapons. The game can get very hectic after playing for a few minutes so matching and evolving is key to success. I didn't spend a single dime on the IAP's and I have almost finished every level. I would recommend this to anyone who likes action and puzzle games.
This is one of my favorite games on my kindle. I know it cost .99¢ but the caesh is worth is. Just one thing, When you complete continent 1. DO NOT pick focus fire arm pick snake strike or whatever it's called. Because when I was taking down a Duel Chopper Mk.1 I used focus fire and I died. It really sucks when you use focus fire arm it worthless. Snake strike allows the doomsday worm to move a little bit better, However focus fire dosent. And if you are gonna to buy something from the armory, BUY armor for each color weapon first. In my opinion you should get a rapid fire weapon like orange minigun or green plasma launcher also the yellow rapid fire weapon .
I like the game. It's another great title from Halfbrick Studios. Not a huge amount of difficulty but enough to keep you on your feet. I was expecting controls like Age of Zombies but I think the controls work just fine despite my original thought. Not being able to control Colossatron does make the gameplay rather tedious but you are able to unlock new gadgets to make the game more immersive & give you some degree of control.
Fun game with lots of action. The strategy of putting together your turrets and powering them up is interesting. The game loses stars because you randomly gain the prisms, which is this game's form of pay currency. Also it is too difficult. Even after paying for the $5 starter bundle I can't get past stage 2. And grinding is tough due to the whole random gain of prisms. Not to mention the cash you gain is only good for temporary boosts in between stages so it is tough to justify spending that cash. Overall a fun game but needs some tweaks. Lower cash prices and more steady prism gain. Worth a download to see if you like it.
This game a ton of fun, and can be tough to put down. Really, who hasn't wanted to send a giant mechanical beast to destroy the world at some point? That's right, nobody. Even Mother Theresa had aspirations of world destruction once. It's true, I read it on the internet.
