Eve Morgan, a workaholic, finds herself tethered to her guardian angel, Pearl, as she learns to become a Christmas angel in Heaven. Despite being the worst recruit in the history of Christmas, Eve is assigned the difficult task of helping a struggling singer, Max, use his musical gifts to heal old family wounds. As Max begins to overcome his issues, Eve begins to embrace the meaning of Christmas, heal wounds of her own, and perhaps find love along the way.

When she arrives in heaven, she is greeted by Pearl (Shirley Maclaine.) Pearl is a guardian angel who is there to show Eve the ropes and explains that Eve is to be a Christmas Angel. Eve's job, this year, is to grant the Christmas wish of a young girl, Lauren (Jaeda Lily Miller) who wants her uncle Max (Eric McCormack) to find happiness.
Eve is sent to earth to accomplish this task and finds herself drawn to both Max and Lauren though she knows that it is against the rules for angels to have a relationship with humans.
The movie tells the story of how Eve is able to help and also what knowing these two people does to change her heart and mind. It is a lovely story that I enjoyed though I was somewhat surprised to see it as a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. While the cast was stellar, the story line was pretty much on par with that of most of the Hallmark Christmas movies. It is a movie that we will re-watch during the holiday season each year.
