Scream Factory releases this 4K, UHD 2-disc version of the fourth "Halloween" film that saw the return of Michael Myers, resuming his murderous ways in his old hometown after ten years, looking superb in HD, coming in a sturdy, slide-in slipcover that includes most of the previous extras(though excludes the audio commentary and 4/5 Discussion Panel from the 2006 Anchor Bay edition for some reason) now featuring two different audio commentaries and those extras.

Disc 1 - 4K UHD that I am presently unable to view, but will update when that changes.

Disc 2 - Theatrical film and all extras.

I love Halloween 4 and have loved the look and covers of these 4k releases. My Halloween 1, 2, 5, 6, H20 and, Resurrection all came with the hard side-insert sleeve/box. Not my Halloween 4. I bought 4 and 5 together and my Halloween 4 is the only one that is the standard slip cover. I thought there would have been a consistency with the covers. Now my Halloween 4 looks like the oddball out of the group. I wanted and was expecting the hard side-insert sleeve/box like it was shown in the picture and not a standard slip cover. Disappointed.

Purchased this in 4K so we could have highest video/audio quality. Was very dissatisfied with the fact that the 4K disc had picture but no sound. It does come with blu ray disc that does work fine. If I would have known this issue I wouldn’t have wasted my money on the 4K. I would have just bought the Blu-ray for less.

La presentación es muy vistosa, con una caja rígida como slipcover y una caratula de doble vista en la caja color negro que contiene los dos discos. Si eres coleccionista sí vale la pena, dado el costo y la existencia de presentaciones más económicas.

Transfer 4K eccellente e mix audio in Dolby Atmos per un'edizione che non ha alcun punto debole: impossibile sperare di vedere il film meglio di così, almeno per quella che è la tecnologia attuale.
Ovviamente il disco 1080p non è visibile sui lettori europei, in quanto Region A, ma quello in UHD non ha vincoli territoriali.
Occorre una buona comprensione dell'inglese, perché l'edizione americana evidentemente non prevede né i sottotitoli né tantomeno il doppiaggio italiano: sono disponibili i sottotitoli per non udenti in inglese per il film, mentre gli audiocommentary non sono sottotitolati affatto. Se la lingua non è un handicap, l'acquisto è consigliatissimo.

McElroy commentary that was on the Divimax DVD from 2006. So if you already own that release, keep it for the screenwriter's commentary.
