Product Description

HALO SleepSack Wearable Blanket

Keep your child safe and warm with the HALO SleepSack wearable blanket. Used in hospital nurseries nationwide, this wearable blanket fits comfortably over your child's sleepwear, replacing loose blankets in the crib that can cover your baby's face and interfere with breathing. The SleepSack will quickly become part of your child's trusted bedtime routine, providing the secure feeling he or she needs to fall asleep fast and sleep soundly throughout the night. Its generous sack design provides ample leg room for kicking and proper hip development, while the inverted zipper makes diaper changes a breeze. Keeps Children Safe And Comfortable All Night

Since 2005, The American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended the use of wearable blankets for safe sleep. Unlike regular blankets, the HALO SleepSack wearable blanket is worn over your child's sleepwear, so it won't be kicked off. This means your child stays safe, warm, and comfortable all night. The inverted bottom zipper lets you change diapers easily, so there's no need to undress your baby. For comfort, its sleeveless design reduces the risk of overheating, while the "Back is Best" embroidery reminds all caregivers to place babies on their backs to sleep.

Recommended By Hospitals And Safety Organizations

The HALO SleepSack wearable blanket is used by more than 1,250 hospital nurseries in North America to teach parents safe sleep practices. The sack design allows room for your baby's legs to move freely to ensure proper hip development, and has been approved as "Hip Healthy" by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. It is the only wearable blanket to carry the gold seals from First Candle/SIDS Alliance and the Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths.

HALO’s Mission: Help Babies Sleep Safely

HALO’s founder Bill Schmid and his wife lost their first born to SIDS. From this tragedy, HALO and its mission were born. For over 15 years we've been educating parents about safe sleep practices and have supported non-profit organizations such as First Candle/SIDS Alliance and The Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Death. Since 2005, the American Academy of Pediatrics has suggested the use of wearable blankets. Today, HALO SleepSack wearable blankets are a trusted choice of hospitals, and are used throughout North America to help babies sleep safely from the start.

Fabric is good quality and soft, design is cute, but beware of shrinkage. I wish I would have ordered the Large instead of Medium size b/c my twins keep growing and these keep shrinking every time they are washed...so now my medium sleep sacks are more like small ones...

Good quality, pictures are accurate. For our 6 month old who is of average height but lower for weight, the arm holes and neck hole are huge and occasionally she gets her pacifier stuck in there. Not dangerous, just annoying.

It's soft and thick for my 8 month daughter to sleep in over night. She seems enjoying it without any struggling to roll around like she did under blanket before. And she looks so cute wearing it. Recommend it for cool to cold place.

All Halo sleepsacks swallowed my baby up even though he is in the 85th percentile for everything! I rarely come across a product that is too big for him. I don't see how these are safe. Every size, kind I've tried from this brand has been too big. Thankfully he no longer needs sacks or swaddles anymore since I was never able to find a good one that fit him (the other brands were too short!).

I really like this sleepsack for it's functionality and adorable design. It's nice and light for the summer months with lots of room for baby to kick. That being said, our baby has never been a fan of blankets or loose fabrics on his legs. We're currently using the Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit (6-9 months), but hope to transition to this once he outgrows it. So far, that's been unsuccessful and he doesn't seem to settle. If your baby likes sleepsacks, this is definitely a great option.

Perfect for summer sleeping. My toddler still sleeps in hers every night and loves it. And I'm happy because there are still no blankets in her crib and she's safe. I have 6 of these, in both the lightweight and thick styles.

Our son has been wearing sleep sacks since birth. He's now in a large and still loves it. He actually wants to wear it and seems so comfortable. I love knowing he can sleep safely since he has a tendency to flop around in his sleep, getting wrapped in blankets.

I have a wriggler, so blankets are out of the question and I'm not cranking up the heat so she can get by with just the jammies. This blanket fits well over any jammies and is easy to get on and off a sleepy/sleeping baby. I would give it five stars if the zipper were at the bottom so I didn't have to marry the two ends right under her chin every time.
