I use these Nitrile (see photo) gloves in areas ranging from optical fabrication areas to high energy laser labs and go through as many as 20 pairs in a week and I can't remember the last time a pair ripped and tore on me as I was putting them on.
The Kimberly Clark gloves are slightly more thick than a competing brand's blue Nitrile gloves that I also use. Because of that, I experience a tad less tactile sensation with my finger. The extra thickness does let me get a bit more rough with the gloves as these gloves tend not to tear in the palms when torquing down on an Allen head (hex) screw with a ball driver or rip open at the finger tips when tightening an 8-32 or 1/4-20 cap screw with your fingers.
Because these gloves are powder free (see photo) and generally non out gassing, I can use these gloves in strict environmentally controlled areas such as in a level 100 or class 6 cleanroom that is ESD compliant. Being latex free (see photo), the gloves are hypoallergenic and more people friendly.
I recommend this product.
Item was promptly shipped by Emergency Disaster Systems, Inc.
I must say, I am nothing but impressed with them so far. The textured fingertips and the thickness of the gloves make them durable and easy to use. The quality of these is much higher than the blue nitrile gloves I was buying from the local 'Made in China' tool chain store. My previous brand was thin, and would constantly rip as I did my work - but today I made it through a whole day on the same pair of gloves. Definitely a step up - I'll be keeping these stocked on my shelf.
I wasn't sure whether to buy the small or extra small, so I called the customer service number from the Kimberly-Clark website. (I went through several toll-free numbers to get the right service person for my needs.) Anyway, I got a super guy who emailed me a glove sizing chart.
Wouldn't you know I was right in-between sizes? I emailed him back and he told me they run a little large so he'd recommend the extra small. He was right!
I was in a hurry, so got both and find both useful. The nice snug extra smalls are perfect for fine work where I don't want any loose finger tips...the smalls are great for everything else.
If you're unsure about what size to get I highly recommend you call and get the chart. They're wonderful gloves and you CAN get the proper fit. :)
I've been asked to post the proper number to call for the glove info. Here it is: 1 - 888 - 346 - 4652. I hope Amazon allows it, because it really was hard to get the right one.
I have purchased thousands of gloves. These are the shortest gloves I have ever seen. Do not buy these if you are looking for gloves for any type of submersion work (liquids) or dirt (gardening) or even to wipe down counters or do dishes. Liquid and debris easily travel into the glove.
They are annoying to use as it always feel like they are about to fall down/off as they only cover the palms. Weird gloves, indeed.
Otherwise stick with those thin sky blue or light pink nursing gloves.
A real FIELD glove needs to be think and not break when you're doing CPR while going 85 down the highway with lights and sirens.
THis glove meets the requirement.
