The book is not the only thing you get when you buy this, you also get access to the website which includes a practice test on ALL of the pool questions, and you get additional resources to help you pass the test. The book is excellent and not intimidating for non-technical people. It will give you confidence to go in and take the 35 question test and pass it with excellent results. I passed my test this Saturday and I missed one of the FCC rules questions, which means this book helped me get my technician license, and it helped me in the rules area of which I knew nothing about before reading this book. So if this book helped me achieve a 97% passing grade after two weeks of study, you should consider it too. I am so impressed that I have ordered the general license book from the same series.
Luckily Stu didn't go that route and his book helps fulfill the intent of the testing in the first place: making sure that newly-licensed hams actually have the knowledge they need to use their privileges legally, safely and enjoyably.
My 14-year-old son went from having just enough knowledge to be dangerous to confidently passing the exam and ready for more in less than a couple of weeks with this book, and for that I can't thank Stu enough.
Highly recommended. I see the General edition is out now, time to order again!
