Chrome coating appeared in my cookies!

This is dangerous, NOT a smart purchase! I read reviews all the time when I make purchases here on Amazon, but rarely feel compelled to write them myself --If you look at the close up photo I've uploaded, you'll see that the coating on the two blender heads is actually coming off. The way I discovered this was as I was eating some cookies, I noticed something shiny inside the cookie! Retraced all my steps to figure out what it was, and this hand mixer was the culprit. I'm sure eating metal coating can't be good for you! As a kitchen appliance that's coming in contact with food and liquids, the mixer attachments should be made out of stainless steel, not cheap steel coated in chrome. Interestingly the whisker that comes with this IS made of stainless, and I'll continue to use that without any problems - so the manufacturer just tried to save some money here at the cost of peoples safety. I've used the mixer twice, and all I did was mix cookie dough inside a stainless steel bowl. The rubbing of the heads against the bowl has caused the chrome coating to come off and get mixed in with the food! Amazon should take this off the market because it's down right dangerous, not cool.

It has 6 speeds and a burst button that gives whatever speed you are on, an added speed boost. It's super easy to clean and the best part is that the attachments and cord store together, making it look neat and all attachments easily accessible for next use. It brings 3 attachments and bin that clicks on to the mixer itself for storage of attachments and cord. It also has a 3 step like design at the end for the purpose of resting the mixer on the bowl as you add ingredients. I thought it was pretty neat and it actually keeps it from sliding, preventing the bowl from tipping over and spilling everything.
My only complaint is that for the attachments and cord to store together is a tetris battle that I always lose. Not to mention you have to apply some pressure to close the storage container. I haven't but, I'm afraid I might break it... for now the order that seems to do the trick is beater and whisk together then other beater across, pushed all the way down, cord and click.
For the price and functionality it's a total no brainer, this hand mixer rocks!
UPDATE:
It’s been 6 months and my mixer is still going like it did on day 1!!! I found practice makes perfect and now I don’t have a hard time storing all attachments and cord. I’ve mixed batter for bread, cakes, cookies, pancakes, waffles, even fondant. This little mixer truly goes the extra mile and I am so happy to use it every time.

All my Hamilton Beach products exceed my expectations and this little mixer is no different. I like it because it serves my amateur, internet and book recipe baking needs, and doesn't take up much space in my cabinet (I am limited to two cabinets for ALL kitchen storage). 3) 6 SPEEDS. Plus the burst of speed. (I have to remember to keep the beaters down & not burst whatever I'm mixing all over my front. Probably not a challenge for more kitchen-oriented users.)
4) STORAGE CONTAINER. I am in love with how the beaters go into this plastic case, then simply snap the main mixer part on top. Done. Not searching for something to put this in or awkwardly setting it loose on a shelf.
This gadget is so awesome, it motivates me to learn to bake.

I bought this to use for small baking/kitchen needs so I wouldn't have to rely on my stand mixer all the time. Unfortunately I didn't open it until after the return window closed, which is my mistake. After only one use the beaters are already rusting. You get what you pay for, I guess.
